GMP Network (GMPN) has changed its name to Greater Michigan Physician Network to show our broader focus beyond Metro Detroit. We started as a physician-hospital organization, Greater Macomb PHO, after local healthcare leaders saw the need for a physician group rooted in the same community as its doctors. In 2017, we became an independent physician organization. From the beginning, we have aimed to help physicians improve how they practice medicine and deliver better care in our community. That mission still guides us today.

For over 30 years, GMPN has been a high-performing physician organization with a dedicated team focused on supporting and improving care for hundreds of doctors. From strong quality performance to a patient-centric focus in care management, the GMPN Difference continues to set us apart. By sharing our extensive knowledge and experience, GMPN helps our independent practices implement new workflows to improve patient outcomes and make their practices more successful.

Even though we are now called Greater Michigan Physician Network, our mission is the same. We aim to be a connected, high-performing network that gives physicians the support, tools, and opportunities they need to improve health for both our patients and our physician practices.

On March 30th, we honor every doctor, but we want to give special thanks to our member physicians for their dedication to their patients’ health.
