Baby Theo, (Theodore Maddox Cashion) is my third grandchild. He was born September 4, 2015 @ 34 weeks & 5 days gestation. GOD IS GREAT!!!! And letting us keep our angel ********** Part of original campaign, July 2015 Theo was diagnosed at 24 weeks gestation with Bilateral Multicystic Dysplastic Kidneys (MCDK) with an enlarged but not thickened bladder. Anhydramnios (no amniotic fluid) present since that time, and Theo’s chest appeared bell shaped with the appearance of hypoplastic (incomplete developed) lungs. Unfortunately, this IS a fatal diagnosis and we are coming to terms that Baby Theo would be “born into Heaven”. Mommy (Lauren) and Daddy (Teddy) are asking for support and prayers during this time! Theo is kicking and moving around, but God is in control and will let us know when He will be taking Theo home. Texas does not have Perinatal Hospice assistance, so it has been difficult to find an organization that has resources to help fulfill the need to create as many memories with Theo as possible. They will need a lot of financial help!!Nothing is too small, even donated resources are greatly appreciated. Lauren and Teddy appreciate your financial help with what-ever expenses they will have for their ANGEL, BABY THEO! THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS**Special Thanks to: Texas Harris Methodist Hospital and their Wee Care Team, Fort-Worth, Texas and Cooks Children's Hospital NICU, Fort-Worth, Texas
NEW UPDATE, September 4, 2015: Theo decided he wanted to come into the world early. Lauren went into labor at 2 am and was transferred from Denton Presbyterian via Care Flight to Texas Harris Methodist in Fort Worth. Shortly after 10 this morning Theo was born via C-Section, 6 weeks early. His lungs are severely underdeveloped, BUT HE CRIED WHEN DELIVERED!! I was there. We were all surprised!! He was incubated and then baptized by the hospital chaplain while still in surgery room. It was very beautiful. Mom did great with surgery and other than Theo being breech there were no other complications for her. Mom and dad (Teddy) have seen Theo and held his hand and some photos have been taken Theo was taken to NICU and Dr.’s told us things were not going well after that and he was on full life support. Some minor test were done and medically inconclusive so mom & dad are going from comfort care to life saving procedures. A chest tube was placed and high level advanced life support is being done. He has been transferred to Cooks Children's Hospital for more evaluation and more test. Keep them all in your prayers as we go forward.
