🌟⭐️Higher Path Success story.⭐️🌟Pat came to us in July from a different assisted living facility. There she was in an isolated memory care unit lacking stimulation. At that time, Pat was ambulatory but very unsteady. When she moved here to Bickford, we immediately started her on our Higher Path program. She started using a front wheeled walker and working with PT and OT with FOX Rehab with her sessions right here at Bickford. She is doing great! Her gait has improved with the introduction of a walker to help stabilize her mobility and Pat participates in exercise class every morning.
Pat loves to socialize with others! Previously she would sit alone and not communicate with others. Here at Bickford, she has been willing do anything and everything to stay busy and active. Our Happiness Coordinator, Cleta, is a key part of the Higher Path model that addresses physical, medical and social needs. Just a few of the things Pat has enjoyed doing since her move to Bickford include craft projects, visiting with the dogs during pet therapy, enjoying the live musical entertainment, getting manicures, going on bus trips, fishing trips, picnics, and making many new friends. She was even very brave and participated in the “adventurous food tasting” we did for National Assisted Living week. Pat has been a wonderful addition to our family here in Clinton.
Of her mom’s Higher path journey, Pat’s daughter Susie had this to say: “We moved our mom, Pat, to Bickford in July of this year. Since moving her, her kids have all noticed that she is so involved in the activities that Bickford offers their residents. It's even gotten to the point where it's hard to find her in her room during the week because she is so busy being active and socializing. We couldn't be happier about this. The staff has been great, and we so appreciate you all. Thank you for looking after her with love and kindness.”
