Tilda Ann Rutherford

Tilda Ann Rutherford, age 75 of Knoxville, TN, wen to be with Jesus on Monday, February 2, 2026. Tilda was a beautiful lady whose life was marked by generosity, faith, joy, and unconditional love. A devoted, Spirit-filled woman of God who loved the Lord deeply, she lived her life as a testimony of His grace. We rejoice in knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Savior.

She cherished her First Apostolic Church family. Her sweet spirit and positive heart never faded as she faithfully served and encouraged those around her.

Tilda loved her extended family and friends deeply and stayed closely connected to them through the years. Many have remembered her as a “ray of sunshine” and a “bright light.” She was a caretaker by nature, helping raise kids as a “second mom.” She was a faithful church sister who greeted people at the door with warmth, a smile, and a feisty joke. She was a lifelong friend to some— from childhood through adulthood. She was a loyal and loving companion.

Being a mom was the most important role in her life. Her girls meant the world to her and her love for them was constant. She especially treasured being a Grama- her grandkids had her heart! She delighted in time spent with them and always celebrated their milestones and cheered them on.

She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Kimberly Powell (Harrison), Kerri Taylor (Shannon), and Kelly Rutherford; her cherished grandchildren, Megan Weaver, Noah Shaw, Katie and SiSi Powell, Frankie Furtado, Emma and Caleb Taylor; her beloved brother, David Maner (Robin); her life partner, Darrell Keeney; many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family; and sweet friend and roommate, Sherry Duncan, who shared her days and brought Tilda comfort until the end.

Tilda mattered to so many people across decades and through many seasons of life. She knew she was loved, and you were all a part of that. This is her legacy— faith, compassion, laughter, and love— and memories that will live on in every life she touched. Heaven is richer for having her.

Tilda's family will receive friends on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at First Apostolic Church of Knoxville. Her funeral service will begin at 7:00pm with Rev. Mark McCool officiating. Graveside service and interment will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Lynnhurst Cemetery, 2300 Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN at 11:00am.
