🐕🐕‍🦺We so enjoyed the visit from Taylor, Kathryn and Kayla from Happy Tails Animal Rescue who brought some of their adorably loveable babies for us to spoil! Our residents worked together to make them toys and gathered treats to make their day. We got to love on Fawn, a sweet Collie mix puppy, and the regal BB King and Millie, both King Corso's. We all enjoyed the affection and treats! 🙏 Thank you, Taylor, for establishing this commendable rescue, which profoundly impacts numerous lives! 💖

Ms. Mary Norman was admitted to Clinton Gardens after hospitalization due to a complex medical presentation. Initially, her engagement in therapeutic interventions was hindered by cognitive impairment secondary to her medical condition. She laughs now and wants to thank her caregiver's for helping keep her modest when she was so confused!

Upon cognitive improvement, Ms. Norman actively participated in Physical Therapy with David Harding PTA, Occupational Therapy with Jeremy Carson OT, and Taylor Bonte COTA, and Speech Therapy with Haylie Dugan SLP, acknowledging their contributions to her restoration of functional independence. Currently, Ms. Norman ambulates with a walker for several hundred feet and anticipates resuming family life and independence.

During her residency, Ms. Norman participated in various activities, notably a special event with a local 4-H group. She particularly cherished her interaction with a young girl named Hadie. Hadie personally picked out one of the prizes that Mary selected and received hugs and visits that are among her favorite memories. Ms. Norman expresses her gratitude to the entire staff, especially QMA Ali, with whom she developed a close rapport. Ali, a night shift employee, frequently provided support, particularly during periods of increased confusion. Ms. Norman appreciated Ali's thoughtfulness, including a farewell gift on her discharge day. Ms. Norman's departure is sincerely felt by the staff, as she positively impacted their professional lives.

The Clinton Gardens Rehabilitation Team and all the staff extend an invitation to Ms. Norman to visit and share her progress and congratulate her on her successful rehabilitation!
