We are incredibly impressed and deeply appreciative of the Culinary team at Clinton Gardens! 🤩 To commemorate Easter, they orchestrated a breakfast and lunch service of exceptional quality and meticulous detail. The Easter empty tomb was imaginatively crafted with Graham crackers, donuts representing the empty grave, and donut holes symbolizing the stone that was rolled away. ✝️ Furthermore, our residents with dietary restrictions were thoughtfully provided with specially prepared purées shaped as crosses. 🙏 Debbie and team members worked with her family to create Easter baskets made from milk cartons for each resident! Thank you all! The dedication and care demonstrated towards our residents is truly extraordinary. ❤️

Lorena is a lifelong resident of Vermillion County with deep community roots. Her father served as county sheriff, and her husband, Frank, whom she married after his return as a WWII prisoner of war, followed in his father-in-law’s footsteps as sheriff.

Lorena proudly served as jail matron during his tenure. Active in the community, the couple represented the Clinton Little Italy Festival as Re and Regina in 1986, honoring Frank’s Italian heritage. They had one son, Frank, who also served in local law enforcement.

Before retiring, Lorena worked as an executive assistant at Eli Lilly. Now a resident of Clinton Gardens, she enjoys singing, church, getting her nails done, and sharing stories from years past. We look forward to celebrating her 100th birthday this June!
