Established in 2004, Building Blocks is a multi-service healthcare, developmental and educational organization founded on the principle of helping children and adults reach their greatest potential. We are comprised of therapy professionals with a united focus on offering the highest level of care. Services include Speech, Occupational and Physical therapies, Special Instruction, Social Work and Care Management Services.

Pediatric brain tumor survivor Anna Owens G'24 had to learn at a young age how to advocate for herself. Now, the Occupational Therapy grad uses her own brush with death as inspiration on her mission of helping others.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? We’re looking for a Special Education Teacher/Evaluator to join our team here in Clinton, NY!

Work with a dynamic team of multi-disciplinary professionals who share your passion for teaching young children!

Responsibilities:
✅Plan, coordinate and implement the educational program for each child (IEP).
✅Function as a contributing member of child’s interdisciplinary team and represent the team at CSE meetings, as required.
✅Effectively oversee all activities for program success.
✅Compile all reports and statistics required.
✅Participate in activities as part of the treatment team that may include meetings, trainings and committees.
✅Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and Agency regulations and operating standards.
✅Complete Early Intervention and Preschool evaluations as needed

Educational Requirements/ Qualifications/ experience :
✔️Current Professional New York State Teacher Certification in students with disabilities birth-grade 2 or a current Permanent New York State Teacher Certification in Special Education.
✔️Basic Computer Skills (Google Suite & Adobe Acrobat)
✔️Completion of the Statewide Central Register (SCR) Database on Child Abuse and Maltreatment background check.
✔️Ability to lift and/or assist individuals in your care and the ability to meet the physical requirements of the specific job.
✔️Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? We’re looking for Children’s Care Managers to join our teams in Clinton & Latham, NY!

As a Care Manager, you’ll play a vital role in coordinating services, advocating for children’s needs, and ensuring they receive the best possible care and support. This role is perfect for someone who is compassionate, organized, and dedicated to improving the well-being of children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Develop and implement individualized care plans
✅ Collaborate with families, schools, and healthcare providers
✅ Connect children with essential resources and services
✅ Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed
✅ Advocate for children’s health, education, and social needs

Qualifications:
✔ Bachelors Degree in social work, psychology, or a related field (Associates Degree with experience will be considered)
✔ Experience working with children and families
✔ Strong communication and problem-solving skills
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
