The Oklahoma Rural Health Transformation Program has released its first public grant application for the Community-Led Wellness Hubs: Microgrants program.

Applications are due April 13, 2026.

An interagency Mobile Food Vendor Inspection Event will take place in Guymon, OK.

Tuesday, March 24th from 9 a .m. to 4 p.m.
Guymon Fire Department
Station 1
402 NE 24th Street, Guymon, OK

Texas County Health Department, Oklahoma State Fire Marshall and Oklahoma LP Gas Administration will be on site for a one stop shop to answer any questions and/or perform state required inspections.

Spanish translator on site.
No appointment necessary.
Enter on west side of the fire department and enter a bay from the south and exit north.

Did you know bats are one of the main carriers of rabies in Oklahoma? People and pets get rabies mainly from bites by infected animals, but there are several ways to prevent this. If you see a bat, do not touch it or pick it up.

Rabies is seen in skunks and in smaller numbers in horses, cattle, cats, dogs and other mammals. The OSDH Epidemiologist-on-Call is available 24/7 regarding rabies recommendations specific to animal bites at (405) 426-8710.
