Clintonville Methodist Cemetery Clintonville Methodist Cemetery is located on Butler Street in Clintonville. We currently have graves available for purchase.

The cemetery board is as follows: Larry McKinley-President; Don McDaniel-Treas., Holly McKinley-Weaver-Sec.; other board members include: Steve and Jeremy Gladd, Grant and Brayden Rea; Bernard Baker.

Mowing has started at the cemetery. Please removal all Christmas wreaths etc., from the graves. This helps the volunteers that mow and trim the cemetery job easier and creates less garbage if hit with mowers and w**d eaters. Thank you.

A big thank you to Union Presbyterian Church Youth Group and the Scrubgrass 4H Group with placing flags on the Veterans Graves. If any graves where missed, there are extra flags placed in front of the McKinley Funeral Home.

As summer comes to an end, The Clintonville Methodist Cemetery would like to extended a “THANK YOU” to all who help maintain the mowing and w**d eating. The cemetery has been blessed with individuals who donated their time, gas and machines to keep our cemetery looking wonderful. If you see any of these people make sure you extended a big thank you to them! Denny Weber, Mike Guiste, Penny Graham, Don McDaniels, The McKinley brothers-Bill, Earle and Larry, The Griffin brothers-Jack and Bill, Gary Witherup, Bill McFadden, Neal Schaeffer and Jim Bollinger.

A big thank you to the Scrubgrass Survivors 4-h group for putting all the Veterans flags on the graves today! If by chance a grave was missed, please help yourself to a flag in the yard at McKinley Funeral Home. Holly has placed extras in her yard that can be used for a veterans grave holder. Thanks again!!!

Flags have been placed at the cemetery. A big thanks to Gary Shaw and the Scrubgrass Survivors 4-h group for getting those flags placed. If you see a flag holder that was missed, please go to the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home and remove one from the yard. Extras where placed in the front yard.

CLINTONVILLE CEMETERY WORK PROJECTS – MAY 1, 2021

1. STRAIGHTEN FLAG HOLDERS ON VET’S GRAVES - HAMMER AND PUNCH OR WOOD BLOCK PROVIDED TO DRIVE INTO GROWN

2. REMOVE OLD PLASTIC FLOWERS (FADED FROM LAST YEAR) AND OLD WREATHS - PUT IN WHEELBARROW AND DUMP IN WHITE DUMP TRUCK. - WHEELBARROW PROVIDED

3. RAKE GRAVEL FROM GRASS ONTO DRIVEWAY AND LEVEL ANY RUTS IN GRASS - GARDEN RAKES, LEAF RAKES, SHOVELS PROVIDED

4. CLEANOUT AND SWEEP INSIDE OF SHED – BROOMS AND FLAT SHOVELS PROVIDED. DEBRIS GOES IN BED OF WHITE DUMP TRUCK

5. SPREAD MULCH HAY ON BARE AREAS IN NEWEST SECTION IN BACK OF CEMETERY

6. CUT DOWN OVERGROWN SHRUBS AND SMALL TREES INTRUDING ON OR HIDDING GRAVESTONES. - GAS GENERATER – CHAIN SAW (ELEC), GAS CHAIN SAW PROVIDED. DEBRIS GOES IN WHITE DUMPTRUCK

7. PULL OUT ALL WOOD CORNER MARKERS PLACED FOR WINTER LOCATION, BUT MAKE SURE FIRST THERE IS A STEEL PIN BURIED IN GROUND. DRIVE A PIN IN GROUND IF MISSING.

8. TRIM GRASS AWAY FROM BLACKTOP COMING INTO MAIN ENTRANCE AND FROM PAVED NORTH – SIDE ENTRANCE ON BOTH SIDES SO WE CAN SEAL COAT PAVED CEMETERY DRIVE LATER THIS FALL

9. WORK WITH SKID STEER OPERATOR STRAIGHTENING LEANING GRAVESTONES BY PLACING METAL SHIMS PROVIDED BETWEEN STONE AND BASE. - PRY BARS , SHIM STOCK PROVIDED

10. LOCATE THE CORNER MARKERS IN AREA BETWEEN SHED AND WHERE BIG OAK TREE WAS. PLACE WOODEN MARKERS TO IDENTIFY CORNER MARKERS VISIBLE. JEREMY GLADD WILL USE 2-100 FT TAPES TO PLACE LOT CORNERS MISSING MARKERS.
