When we are triggered it is imperative to self reflect on why we triggered ourself instead of outward blaming, projecting, deflecting, criticizing, and judging. When we meet ourselves with gentle awareness instead of outward blame, we begin to get curious about what we are holding onto that is causing the trigger to begin with.
Blaming, projecting, deflecting, criticizing, shaming, and judging are all ways we sometimes avoid facing our own shame. So instead of doing the inner work and facing ourselves we fling it onto others.
