Recap to a happy Doctors Day! We honor the compassionate, dedicated physicians who make healing possible every single day. In behavioral health, our doctors do more than provide treatment, they listen, they guide and they help individuals and families find hope during some of life’s most challenging moments. Their expertise and empathy change lives.

Meet Dr. Margaret Meyer! Dr. Margaret Meyer is a dedicated staff psychiatrist who provides compassionate care to our adult patients. What she loves most about psychiatry is the people.
“People are so interesting! I love trying to understand why people think and act the way they do. No two individuals are the same, which means no two cases of depression, anxiety or even schizophrenia ever look the same.”
Dr. Meyer says she chose psychiatry because of the complexity and challenge it brings to patient care.
“I enjoy figuring out which medication or combination of medications will help someone. For me, each patient is like a riddle waiting to be solved.”
We’re grateful to have Dr. Meyer’s curiosity, clinical expertise and patient centered approach as part of our care team.

Five years ago this week, Clive Behavioral Health opened its doors as central Iowa’s only stand alone mental health hospital. Since then, our mission has remained unwavering: to provide compassionate, high quality care to those seeking support and healing.
We’re proud to reflect on how far we’ve come. From serving 1,300 patients in 2021 to more than 3,700 in 2025. Over 14,000 individuals have turned to us for treatment. We’ve cared not only for central Iowans but for individuals from all 99 counties in the state.
Our growth into Iowa’s largest inpatient mental health provider is a direct reflection of the dedication and heart of our entire team, our providers, nurses, mental health technicians, therapists, social workers, support staff and administrators. Each of you makes a meaningful impact every single day. Here’s to 5 years of Hope, Healing, and Recovery and to the many lives we will continue to support in the years ahead.
