Progressive Community Network is an Iowa Medicaid Enterprise certified organization that provides 24-hour home based care and empowers individuals living with intellectual disabilities or mental illness to live in the least restrictive environment possible. Individuals are treated with the utmost respect and dignity in 24/7 SCL homes or Host Homes. Progressive Community Network focuses on an individual’s skill set and promotes growth and education in the areas of daily living skills, medication management, safety, social skills, community involvement, and more.

🦃 PCN Thanksgiving Closure Notice 🦃

Progressive Community Network will be closed on Thursday, November 27th and Friday, November 28th in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Our team will return on Monday, December 1st.
If you need assistance during the closure, please reach out through your usual on-call or emergency contacts.

Today we’re highlighting Ashley M, who shared her gratitude for her wonderful family and the love and support they bring to her and her son each day. She’s especially thankful for her son — being his mom is one of her greatest joys.

Ashley is also grateful for the warm welcome she’s felt from the PCN team, and for the little things that make life sweet: cozy blankets, warm hugs, and time with the people she loves.

🎄✨ PCN is joining the inaugural Hy-Vee Holiday Parade! ✨🎄

We’re excited to celebrate the season in downtown Des Moines on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 10AM–12PM at this FREE, family-friendly event presented by WHO 13 News!

This first-of-its-kind parade will bring holiday magic to the streets with:
🎺 Marching bands
💃 Local high school & college dance teams
🎁 Festive floats & fun giveaways
🎉 An estimated 40,000–70,000 people coming together to kick off the holiday season!

Come wave hello to PCN as we join the celebration and share holiday cheer, community spirit, and a whole lot of sparkle! 💜🎅
