📢 Important Update for Iowa Total Care Families
Iowa Total Care has made the decision to end its contract with Waggoner Pediatrics, effective October 19, 2025. Our last day seeing Iowa Total Care patients will be Friday, October 18, 2025.
This change was not related to the quality of care or any disciplinary matter — it was a business decision made solely by Iowa Total Care. We know many of our families have received letters from ITC, and we want to be clear that Waggoner Pediatrics did not choose to leave their network.
Our priority is helping your family continue care with the providers you know and trust.

How to Stay with Waggoner Pediatrics
You can remain a patient at Waggoner Pediatrics by switching to another Iowa Medicaid Managed Care Organization (MCO) that includes us in their network.

Member Services will walk you through your options and help you switch to a new MCO so your child can continue care with Waggoner Pediatrics.

Step 2: Contact Your New MCO (if switching)
You can choose either of the following plans that include Waggoner Pediatrics in their network:
• Molina Healthcare of Iowa: 1-844-236-0894
• Wellpoint Iowa: 1-833-731-2140
If you choose to stay with Iowa Total Care, their number is 1-833-404-1061 (TTY: 711) — but please note that after October 18, Waggoner Pediatrics will no longer be in their network.

Helpful Tips for Families
• Have your Medicaid ID number ready when you call.
• Tell Member Services you want to switch plans because Iowa Total Care ended its contract with Waggoner Pediatrics.
• Ask when your new coverage will begin so your child’s care continues seamlessly.
