Check it out! For those who aren’t aware, the City of Clive owns several goats to help keep the Greenbelt trail clean, and they live across the street from Walnut Ridge. 🥰 And yes, you can visit and feed them. ⭐️

🚨 DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

Clive PD is excited to officially welcome the newest member of our department… Officer Greenie 🐐

After a thorough review of qualifications, Greenie has been assigned to our newest specialized unit: the GOAT Team. (Grass Overgrowth & Area Tactical)

Greenie’s new duties may include:
🐐 Park and trail patrol
🐐 Neighborhood “graze” enforcement
🐐 Natural w**d control
🐐 Community morale boosting

Due to budget constraints, Greenie will be deployed on foot rather than by patrol vehicle.
We’ve also been informed Greenie already considers himself the GOAT of community policing.

K9 Dutch has reportedly requested a meeting with command staff.

Residents enjoyed a wonderful visit to Hoyt Sherman Place, exploring its stunning historic mansion and art gallery…an iconic cultural treasure that has been part of the Des Moines community for over a century. It was a beautiful day filled with history, art, and lots of smiles!

We had a great time hosting two TRAVEL subject matter experts who shared all the hidden gems and helpful services that can keep seniors traveling longer, and more comfortably! ✈️ Sarah Hoodjer from the DSM Airport shared tips and tricks for navigating the airport and TSA like a pro, and Dean Burtch from Allied Travel followed up with tenured advice on various ways a travel agent can take stress out of trip planning. We topped it off with a reception and 1:1 time for questions. Pack your bags and let’s goooo! ✈️🌞🌴

Our incredible Resident Assistants came together for a potluck to celebrate the variety of cultures represented within the team: Bosnia, Kenya, Liberia, Mexico, Philippines, and USA. What made the meal truly special wasn’t just the delicious food, it was the way everyone embraced one another’s heritage. Moments like these remind us how lucky we are to work in a community that cherishes diversity and celebrates the unique backgrounds that make us who we are. ⭐️

☘️ Lucky for us, one of our residents invited his band, Loose Change, to rehearse at Walnut Ridge for their upcoming St. Patty’s Day gig! They played 1960’s folk-rock classics from Bob Dylan, John Denver, and Johnny Cash - plus a festive “Irish Eyes Are Smiling” - which quickly drew in excited residents for an impromptu concert. What a joyful way to kick off the St. Patty’s Day spirit! Thanks, Jack! ☘️
