Our incredible Resident Assistants came together for a potluck to celebrate the variety of cultures represented within the team: Bosnia, Kenya, Liberia, Mexico, Philippines, and USA. What made the meal truly special wasn’t just the delicious food, it was the way everyone embraced one another’s heritage. Moments like these remind us how lucky we are to work in a community that cherishes diversity and celebrates the unique backgrounds that make us who we are. ⭐️

☘️ Lucky for us, one of our residents invited his band, Loose Change, to rehearse at Walnut Ridge for their upcoming St. Patty’s Day gig! They played 1960’s folk-rock classics from Bob Dylan, John Denver, and Johnny Cash - plus a festive “Irish Eyes Are Smiling” - which quickly drew in excited residents for an impromptu concert. What a joyful way to kick off the St. Patty’s Day spirit! Thanks, Jack! ☘️

Residents enjoyed a magical evening at the annual Elegant Dinner, dining on their choice of mahi mahi or filet mignon, paired with wine. Live cello and violin performances enhanced the ambience, and fun was had by all!

McKenna Veldey, Grandview University senior majoring in Psychology and Human Services with a minor in Family Studies, has completed her internship with our Life Enrichment team - and we are so grateful she chose Walnut Ridge to share her heart and talents with! She put smiles on the faces of the people we serve across all of our levels of care. 🥰 🌟 Thank you, McKenna!
