💉 Better late than never — get your flu shot today!

Influenza is spreading throughout our communities, but it’s never too late to protect yourself and your loved ones with a flu shot. The CDC recommends individuals 6 months and older get an annual flu vaccine to help fight off the virus and reduce serious complications — especially for pregnant women, young children, older adults, and people with chronic health conditions.

At My Medicap Pharmacy, we’re proud to offer flu shots (along with other vaccines such as COVID-19, shingles, pneumonia, and Tdap) at all our locations.
Getting vaccinated is one of the best ways to protect yourself and your community — especially those who are most vulnerable.

Talk to your pharmacist about the flu shot, what’s recommended for you or your family, and how it works to strengthen your immunity this season.

It’s easy to get your vaccine — just stop by or call your local store to learn more or schedule your visit!

Stay healthy and take care of each other! 🌟

So you’ve got the flu… now what?

It’s that time of year—influenza is spreading fast. While the flu has to run its course, there are things you can do to feel better in the meantime. Remember to always consult your doctor or pharmacist about the best options for you.

💊 Ask your doctor or pharmacist about Tamiflu
Tamiflu is an antiviral that can help reduce the severity and length of the flu, especially if you have underlying chronic conditions. It works best when started within 24–48 hours of symptom onset. Call your doctor to see if it’s right for you.

🌡️ Control your fever
Fever is a common flu symptom and can really wear you down. Tylenol can help lower your fever, and a thermometer is great to have on hand to monitor your temperature.

💪 Ease body aches
Muscle and body aches are also common with the flu. Ibuprofen can help relieve discomfort.

🍯 Sore throat relief
Throat lozenges can soothe irritation and help your throat feel more comfortable.

Stop by or give us a call — we’re here to help you feel better faster!

Today is National Winter Skin Relief Day, the perfect reminder to give your skin some extra love as the winter chill sets in. Harsh winds and indoor heating can strip away moisture, but you don't have to let your skin wither.

Here are 3 quick tips to keep your barrier strong:

Swap for a cream: Trade your light lotion for a thicker, oil-based moisturizer to lock in hydration.

Lower the temp: Long, hot showers feel great but can dry you out—try lukewarm water instead.

Don't skip the SPF: The winter sun and snow glare can still cause damage, so keep that protection on!

Your local drug store or pharmacy should have what you need to keep your dry winter skin at bay. And, you can always ask a pharmacist.

GOOD NEWS FRIDAY!

As an organization that prides itself on customer service, shouldn’t be surprised to receive positive reviews. We’re never surprised, but always appreciative that our customers reach out to tell us we’re doing a good job. This week, one of our customers took the time to do that. The review follows:

“I am a Medicaid patient, and I have been coming to your pharmacy for several years now. From the early days of $1.00 co-pays to no co-pays now. Your organization has worked very hard to find staff who genuinely care for the customers. Janis and Andy are top-notch professionals; they always take the time not only to fill prescriptions but also to talk to and care about their customers. Andy is a real plus; he goes out of her way to make sure everything is as it should be! The rest of the staff are courteous and caring. I would highly recommend this Pharmacy to anyone!! They are, quite simply, THE BEST!”
