Reiki Principal self help tip: Kindness as Energy Flow
Just for today, practice kindness. This is leading with the heart. Being kind and compassionate.
Pick one small act of compassion—toward yourself, another person, an animal, or even a plant—and do it with full presence. (Really, any living thing)
• For yourself: We are our own worst critic. We typically beat ourselves up and are always looking to achieve the next “thing.” This is treating yourself with kindness, being proud for what you have accomplished, no matter how small because small things lead to big things. Practice self care, however that resonates with you.
• For others: Offer a sincere compliment or listen to someone fully. Truly be present and hear them, not distracted by your phone or other tasks. Maybe do something kind, buy a friend a coffee.
• For nature: Water a plant, recycle, or simply pause to acknowledge the earth beneath you. For example, Me and my husband are always picking up trash at boat launches.
• For animals: Give gentle attention to a pet or leave a small offering for wildlife (like a bird feeder refill). Put spiders outside instead of killing them. If you are a hunter or fisherman, it’s being a good sportsman and setting a good example.
As you do this, imagine a soft light radiating from your heart and expanding outward. Kindness isn’t a performance—it’s an energetic ripple. Kindness is not expecting anything in return.
Every small act keeps your energy flowing freely and returns to you as calm, warmth, and alignment.
