About Measure DD:

In November 2024, Cloverdale voters approved Measure DD, a local sales tax measure designed to maintain and enhance essential City services. Measure DD provides a stable, locally controlled source of revenue that helps support Public safety services, including police, fire, and emergency response, Street and infrastructure maintenance, Parks, recreation, community facilities, and local economic development initiatives.

About UUT:

In November 2020, Cloverdale voters approved an extension of the City’s existing Utilities Users Tax (UTT). The UUT is codified in Cloverdale Municipal Code Chapter 3.40. Section 3.40.290 requires the City Council to appoint a three-member oversight committee to review and report on the receipt of revenue and expenditures of funds from the UUT.

Purpose of the Oversight Committee:

The Measure DD and UUT Citizens’ Oversight Committee plays a vital role in promoting transparency and accountability in the use of the funds. The Committee’s responsibilities include reviewing annual expenditure reports prepared by the City, verifying that Measure DD revenues are spent in accordance with the voter-approved priorities, preparing an annual report to the City Council and community summarizing its findings.

Membership and Eligibility:

The City Council will appoint five (5) members to the Citizens’ Oversight Committee. Members must be Cloverdale residents and registered voters. Experience in finance, public administration, business, or community service is helpful but not required. Committee members will serve two-year terms and meet up to four times per year. This is a volunteer position.

How to Apply:

Interested residents are encouraged to submit an application to the City Clerk’s Office. Applications are available online at https://www.cloverdale.net/DocumentCenter/View/315/Application-for-Appointment?bidId= or at City Hall, 124 N. Cloverdale Blvd.

Completed applications must be submitted (and received) by Monday December 1st, 2025.

Exciting News for Alexander Valley Healthcare!
This evening, Senator Mike McGuire announced a transformative state investment of $3.5 million for AVH’s new Health & Wellness Center! 🎉
This incredible support brings us one step closer to making our vision a reality. The new 27,000 square foot - two story medical center—scheduled to break ground in early 2026—will cost nearly $30 million to construct. Senator McGuire’s leadership and the state’s investment make a huge difference in our ability to fund this vital project for our community.
Thank you, Senator McGuire, for championing access to quality healthcare in our region. We can’t wait to see the positive impact this new center will have for years to come!

DHCS is expanding access to Medi-Medi Plans––integrated health plans for people who have both Medicare and Medi-Cal—to 29 additional counties. This expansion brings the total to 41 counties that offer Medi-Medi Plans, nearly quadrupling access to these plans.

This means Californians who are eligible for both Medicare and Medi-Cal will have the option to enroll in a Medi-Medi Plan to receive additional support to help manage chronic conditions, disabilities, or long-term care needs.
