➡️ TAKE ACTION BEFORE THE MARCH 25 DEADLINE!

Send a letter urging your members of Congress to sign on to the Community Health Center Funding FY27 Appropriations letter today.

Each year, Congress must approve 30% of funding for Community Health Centers (CHCs). To secure this funding, we need to demonstrate strong bipartisan support. That’s why we’re asking every member of Congress to sign a letter calling for robust CHC funding.

The more members who sign, the stronger our message to Congressional leadership about the urgent need to support CHCs and the 52 million patients we serve.

We need your help to get your members of Congress to sign on!

Community Health Centers are a critical access point for oral health care in America.

In 2024 alone:
🦷 7 million patients relied on Community Health Centers for dental care
🦷 16.8 million dental visits were delivered nationwide
🦷 80% of health centers provided dental services

Yet two-thirds of patients still have unmet oral health needs, largely due to gaps in coverage and workforce shortages.

New analysis from the NACHC Dr. John W. Hatch Center for Science explores the role Community Health Centers play in delivering dental care—and what it will take to strengthen access moving forward.

⚠️ Cold weather advisory and unsettled conditions expected this week — Se espera un aviso de clima frío y condiciones inestables para esta semana ⚠️
[En español abajo]

The coldest storm of the year is bearing down on Sonoma County. Prepare for temperatures near freezing, rain and gusty winds over the coming days.

The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory from midnight tonight through 9 a.m. Wednesday for North Bay interior valleys and mountains. Overnight lows in Santa Rosa are expected to fall into the mid- to upper-30s through Saturday, with Friday morning potentially dropping to around 32 degrees. Higher elevations above 2,500 feet could see snow.

Forecasters caution that wind and rain will make temperatures feel significantly colder than the thermometer indicates. Residents should take this cold spell seriously. Here's what to expect:

• Additional light rain through the week, with heavier rain possible Wednesday night
• A small chance (18%) of the Russian River reaching minor flood stage early next week; conditions are being closely monitored
• Strong westerly winds at times, with the possibility of isolated downed trees
• A risk of thunderstorms through Wednesday, with a slight potential for severe storms
• High surf and hazardous coastal conditions midweek

Cold conditions can be dangerous for older adults, children, people experiencing homelessness, pets and livestock. Prolonged exposure increases the risk of hypothermia.
Residents are encouraged to:

• Dress in layers and limit outdoor exposure overnight and early mornings
• Check on neighbors and vulnerable family members
• Secure loose outdoor items ahead of gusty winds
• Use caution near rivers, creeks and the coastline
• Prepare for potential power outages
