🎁 Healed for the Holidays 🎁

The team at Central Valley Vein & Wound Centers is kicking off a friendly competition — our goal is to help as many patients as possible get healed before the holidays!

This month, Central Valley Vein & Wound Centers had the privilege of participating in two incredible events that highlight our continued commitment to expanding access to care and improving outcomes for the Central Valley.

👥 Central Valley Health Network (CVHN) Roundtable – Lodi, CA
We joined CVHN’s first in-person Roundtable to collaborate on innovative solutions for expanding access to care in underserved communities. These conversations are essential to ensuring that patients across our region receive the care they need and deserve.

🏛 California Medical Association (CMA) – 5th Annual Medical Group Advocacy Symposium
We also attended CMA’s Advocacy Symposium, where health care leaders, lawmakers, and industry experts came together to tackle some of the most pressing issues in medicine. This event reinforced the importance of physician voices in shaping policies that directly impact patients and providers.

🌞 Central Valley Heat is Here — Let’s Talk Wound Care! 🌞
As temperatures rise in the Central Valley, it’s more important than ever to take extra care of chronic wounds, especially for those with diabetes, venous disease, or poor circulation.

Here are 5 summer tips to protect your skin and promote healing:

1️⃣ Stay Cool & Dry: Excessive sweating can irritate wounds and increase the risk of infection. Keep the area clean and dry.
2️⃣ Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate: Dehydration slows healing. Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
3️⃣ Avoid Direct Sunlight: UV exposure can worsen skin conditions. Cover wounds with breathable dressings and avoid long sun exposure.
4️⃣ Watch for Swelling: Heat can cause increased leg swelling — elevate your legs and wear compression if advised.
5️⃣ Don’t Delay Care: If you notice redness, increased drainage, or pain, seek care promptly.
