April is the Month of the Military Child, and here in Clovis, that recognition carries special meaning. As the proud home of Cannon Air Force Base, we see firsthand the strength, resilience, and sacrifice of our military families—and especially their children.

At a recent City Commission meeting, I was honored to proclaim April 2026 as the Month of the Military Child in Clovis. These young people serve alongside their families, adapting to change, showing courage, and demonstrating maturity well beyond their years.

We are grateful for each of them.

Pictured with me are Deputy Wing Commander McMaster, Command Chief Gunnell, and Sara Williams with the Military Family and Life Counseling Program. Thank you for joining us as we recognized this important proclamation.
