The Wellness Studio has a full and exciting schedule this week—here’s what you need to know ⬇️

✨ Amp classes on Tuesdays and Saturdays will be paused for the season. We plan to bring them back this fall after the busy spring and summer months!

✨ Join us Wednesday morning for Yoga with Kyle at 6:30 a.m.— bring your morning coffee, I do ☕️

✨ Saturday features a pop-up with Healing House MHK. Only a few appointment slots remain—call 785-320-6791 to reserve your spot.

✨ Sunday, we’re hosting a pop-up with Prairie Cactus Studios! Bring the kids in to create a ceramic mug for Mom. Text Leslie at 785-614-0551 to sign up.

🔥 Member Spotlight: Steve Bloomfield 🔥

Since opening our doors on January 1, Steve has walked through them more than 92 times… and counting (in fact, he's here now, as I write this post). 92 days in a little over 100 days that we've been open -- let that sink in. That’s consistency most people only talk about.

When asked what keeps him coming back, Steve kept it simple:
👉 “It’s my drug and I need to be in the gym.”

And honestly… it shows.

Steve set a goal to only miss one day a week—and he’s been backing that up with action. Because in his words:
👉 “When I set a goal, I find a way to achieve it one way or the other.”

This wasn’t random. This was intentional.
👉 “2026… I wanted to change things, be a better man, find a girlfriend—and so far I have achieved that.” 👏👏👏

He’s putting in the work every single day—typically a full hour workout followed by 20–30 minutes in the sauna—and focusing on fueling his body better, aiming for high protein to support his goals.

But what stands out most isn’t just the time he’s put in… it’s what “showing up” means.

It’s discipline.
It’s commitment.
It's prioritizing yourself.
It’s becoming the person you said you wanted to be.

Steve didn’t wait for motivation—he built habits. He decided, and then he followed through.

If you’ve been thinking about starting, let Steve be your motivation. You don’t need perfect—you just need to start showing up. I'm sure Steve would love to show you around - he's an expert around here 😁

Leslie will guide the kids in designing and glazing a ceramic mug - the perfect gift for Mother’s Day 🌸😉. After firing, Leslie will return the mugs- wrapped and ready to go- for pickup at our Studio on May 6!

Real People. Real Results. Real Consistency. 💪

Since joining our gym on January 20th, Jessica and Matthew Tatum have shown up in a BIG way 👏. They committed to showing up week after week—and it’s paying off.

🔥 Jessica -17.2 lbs
🔥 Matthew: -27 lbs
➡️ For a combined total of an incredible 44.2 lbs lost!!!

But their story goes way beyond the scale.

Matthew shared: “What has kept me coming back is a strong internal drive to make a meaningful change in my life. I reached a point where I genuinely wanted to take control of my health and follow through on that commitment. That sense of purpose, combined with the desire to see real progress, continues to motivate me to stay consistent and keep showing up.”

Jessica’s reason was even deeper:
“It wasn’t just about the gym—it was about needing a change… learning to show up for myself again.”

And that’s exactly what they’ve done.

➡️ Stronger habits

Jessica put it perfectly:
“Life gets busy, motivation dips, and it’s easy to quit—but I have to push through those days. Emotionally, learning to be patient with myself and stop expecting perfection is one of the hardest things. Before, gyms/workouts felt intimidating or temporary. This one feels like a place I can actually grow, at my own pace, and still be challenged.”

Matthew credits one thing above all else:
👉 “Consistency—showing up even on the days I didn’t feel motivated.”

They now focus on fueling their bodies better, building routines, and supporting each other every step of the way.

“We remind each other we’re doing more than we were before—and that keeps us going.”

And their advice?

👉 “Just start. Don’t wait until you feel ready.”
👉 “Even a short workout is better than skipping it.”

That’s exactly what they did—and it’s changing their lives.

Did you know??

Fiber plays a huge role in gut health, heart health, blood sugar control, and keeping you full longer—but unfortunately, only ~5–7% of Americans meet daily fiber recommendations.
👉 Men: ~38g/day
👉 Women: ~25g/day
Good sources of fiber include fruits and veggies, beans & lentils, whole grains and nuts & seeds.

And then there’s protein… Most Americans get enough protein to survive—but many aren’t getting enough to support muscle, strength, and long-term health. Even more concerning: up to half of older adults don’t meet protein needs—putting them at increased risk for muscle loss, decreased strength, falls, and loss of independence. Protein needs are individualized—talk with a Registered Dietitian to find what’s right for you.

Good sources of lean protein: Chicken, turkey, lean beef, eggs, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, protein shakes/powders, beans and lentils.

Want an easy way to hit BOTH your fiber & protein goals? 👇

🥯 Simple High Protein + High Fiber Breakfast:
Sola bagel (15g protein, 30g fiber 😮) + Whipped cottage cheese* (~12g protein per 1/2 cup)
*1/2 c. low- or non-fat cottage cheese, blended until smooth

Customize it:
🍯Sweet: honey, vanilla, fruit (fruit will add even more fiber!)
🧄Savory: everything bagel seasoning, garlic, herbs
