The fall chill 🥶 has hit us, but it's nothing that a warm coat and a horse can't fix! OT sessions with hippotherapy continue through the end of November.

Location: 621 Diamondville Rd. Clymer, PA 15728

Meet the staff and ponies at Toy Box OT. Eat good food (cash donations accepted for Cure Mito Foundation). Tree lighting at 5pm. Come for 5 minutes or the whole time.

This is an outdoor event. Dress warm and join us to celebrate the changing of the seasons.

We had some good participation in "Guess who is Secretariat's Great-Granddaughter!"

PEACHES 🍑 is our resident descendent of Secretariat! She is a registered half Welsh pony with the other half being a mix of thoroughbred and Arabian (which explains her quirkiness!) Secretariat is her great grand sire on her mother's side.

Many thoroughbreds (thousands of them) have Secretariat running in their blood, but it was a complete surprise that the random little palomino pony that Jennie found is so closely related. Though Peaches is not currently working in our hippotherapy programming (we have a long way to go to see if she will ever make the cut), she has been keeping Jennie busy, giving her a good project and forcing her to brush up on her horsemanship skills. It's been quite a summer here with Peaches.

Today marks one month of being at the farm just outside of Clymer! To celebrate, I want to introduce you to Kiwi, our trusty therapy pony (who is actually horse-sized, but we won't tell her if you don't.) Kiwi has a special job and is our MVP, taking each step around our little riding ring with great care, ensuring the client on her back is happy and secure. Thank you Kiwi!

Looking for 1-2 individuals interested in helping with hippotherapy activities. Responsibilities: helping to maintain a safe therapy environment through either leading the horse or supporting clients during sessions. Responsibilities may also include assisting with grooming/tacking up horses before and after sessions. Must be able to walk at various speeds over various terrain. The position is available to those 16 years and older. 2+ years of horse experience is required at this time. Training is provided. Starting pay $10/hour. This is a part-time (1-2 hours per week, hours will increase during summer months) and seasonal (April – November) position. Help is needed Monday and Wednesday evenings for the fall months. Located just outside of Clymer, PA.
