Yosemite Little League Community,
I wanted to take a moment to share a bit of how my Little League summer ended for 2025. This past season I was selected to be part of the volunteer umpire crew for the 2025 Little League Western Region Seniors Baseball Tournament. This tournament had Seniors level teams from Washington, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Northern Ca, Southern Ca, and Hawaii, All playing for to advance to the World Series.
What makes this Tournament experience special was the way dozens of Volunteers, putting in the work to be great at what they are doing, came together to create this moment for the young players on the field. None of us had kids on the field. Many of us have not had kids on the field of our own for many years.
Little League is the largest volunteer youth organization in the world. I am proud that our League is apart of this.
Thank you for letting me be a representative for our community.
In the coming weeks Yosemite LL will be having our annual elections. I will plan to continue serving our community.
If being apart of something great interests you, please consider joining. Help strengthen our community through volunteerism. Our General Election Meeting will be at the YLP Library Thursday September 18th at 7pm.
Thank you,
Dean Ledgerwood
Yosemite Little League President
