Charles Hogan, son of the late Lula Stroud and Charles M. Hogan Sr., was born on October 20,
1922, in McDonough, Georgia. He departed this life on June 25, 2017.
Charles is predeceased by his wife, the late Dorothy Hogan, his ten siblings, his son, Albert

Mr. Hogan was a proud serviceman in the United States Army in which he heroically defended
his country during World War II. He was employed by the former Lukens Steel for 33 years
before retiring in 1988. Mr. Hogan a true man of God lived a life of dedication and service.
Within his church he served on the Deacon Board, the Board of Trustees, and was the Sunday
School Superintendent at Mount Olivet Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, watching baseball
(particularly the Phillies), and was an avid fisherman.
A lover of all genres of music, Mr. Hogan, like his favorite song, was truly “One in a Million!”
And it is this spirit that those whom he touched will forever carry in their hearts.
Mr. Hogan leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Anita Lacy; son-in-law, James Lacy;

We are saddened, but comforted in knowing that he has finished his service here on Earth and
has been called to a higher service. May his soul rest in peace and perpetual light shine upon his beautiful face.
