Always committed to staying at the forefront of EMS changes, a dedicated group of our educators developed introductory ventilator management material for our original paramedic education over the past few months. This past week, the material was rolled out in both lecture and lab and will be a part of our curriculum going forward.

None of this would be possible without the extreme generosity of Greene County Paramedics, who donated FOUR ventilators and the associated vent tubing for us to use in our simulation center. Our sincere thanks and gratitude go out to Greene County Paramedics President Mark Evans and Chief Steven Near who coordinated the donation. In addition, Steve was on hand in lab this week to assist with the lab stations and provide feedback for continued improvement in our delivery.

Their dedication to our program will have a direct impact on our paramedic graduates, the agencies they work for, and the patients they take care of.

: A fundraiser is planned for Sunday, April 19 to benefit Micki Guy, a Glens Falls firefighter seriously injured when she fell from a fire truck in route to a fire last week.

‼️EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT‼️
This April on the 29th we are having an EMS education day at Guthrie Lourdes Hospital.
This is a day that will be split into 2 sessions a morning session dedicated to EMS pre-hospital care for our EMT's, AEMT's & Paramedics. With hand on labs that will be in tandem with the lecture material. 🚑
Then an afternoon session dedicated to our in-hospital care workers. Physicians, APP's, nurses etc. With labs that will be in tandem with the lecture material as well. 🩺
This is a FREE event to attend, and food and drink accommodations will be served for those who attend. 🥤🍔
This is a great hands-on learning event that we are very excited to host.
