Simulation includes engaging all of the five senses; not just sight! This week, we added audible wheezing to a pediatric patient and ensured that one of our staff was actively engaged as the concerned parent. Try watching the video muted, and then again with the sound on. It makes a huge difference.

Quality EMS simulation doesn't have to involve costly or flashy equipment; it needs dedicated and creative staff who develop real-life scenarios and commit to the realistic scenario.
