A new pilot program in Oregon is taking an innovative approach to recovery inside correctional facilities. 👮
The program trains incarcerated individuals to support peers navigating substance use recovery. By building peer-led support networks, the goal is to reduce the risk of relapse and improve outcomes when people return to their communities.
Why does this matter? 🤔
Research shows the weeks immediately after release from incarceration carry one of the highest risks for relapse and overdose. Programs that introduce recovery education and peer support early can make a meaningful difference.
Recovery is rarely built alone.
Whether support comes from peers, counselors, family, or treatment programs, connection plays a powerful role in long-term change.
✨At Serenity Lane, that same principle shapes treatment. Clients build support through therapy groups, alumni networks, and ongoing recovery communities across Oregon.
