Honoring a True Healing Pioneer: Dr. Miriam Lee 🌿

This Women’s History Month, we’re sharing the incredible story of Dr. Miriam Lee, a woman who fought so that we could have the care we provide for you today.

Dr. Lee was a pioneer who helped make acupuncture legal in the United States. In 1974, she was actually arrested for practicing acupuncture in California because it wasn't yet recognized as a legal medical treatment.

The most amazing part? Her patients wouldn't let her go quietly. Hundreds of people showed up at the courthouse to testify about how her treatments had changed their lives. Their voices were so powerful that the Governor signed a law making acupuncture a legal health profession shortly after!

Many of the techniques we use in our office today were built on the foundation she laid. We are so grateful for her courage and her heart for healing.

Endometriosis is more than bad cramps. It’s inflammation. It’s nervous system overload. It’s a body that feels like it’s constantly bracing.

Acupuncture works on multiple levels.

It helps calm inflammation.
It improves blood flow in the pelvis.
It regulates prostaglandins that drive painful cramping.
It supports hormone balance.
And it helps the nervous system shift out of chronic pain mode.

Is it a cure? No.
Is it a powerful part of a layered treatment plan? Absolutely.

Many of my patients notice less intense periods, fewer flare-ups, better digestion, deeper sleep, and more predictable cycles over time.

If you’re living with endometriosis, you deserve options. And you deserve support that sees the whole picture.

Save this or share it with someone who needs to know there are other tools available. 🌿

Living with Endometriosis is exhausting.

The pain.
The bloating.
The heavy periods.
The feeling of not being heard.

If you have endometriosis, you’re not dramatic. You’re not weak. And you’re definitely not alone.

Acupuncture can be a gentle but powerful support.

Many women come in feeling inflamed, tense, and stuck in a constant pain loop. Over time, we work on:

• calming pelvic pain
• reducing painful periods
• easing bloating and digestive flare-ups
• regulating cycles
• supporting sleep and energy
• helping the nervous system feel safe again

It’s not an overnight fix. And it’s not a replacement for medical care when that’s needed.

But it can be a space where your body softens.
Where inflammation cools.
Where your system starts to regulate instead of brace.

Endometriosis care works best when it’s layered and personalized. Acupuncture is one piece of that support.

You deserve relief. And you deserve to be listened to. 🌿

What does the Year of The Fire Horse even mean?

In the Chinese zodiac, the horse represents freedom, movement, ambition, and bold action.
Add the fire element and that energy gets amplified.

Fire = passion, visibility, charisma, momentum.
Horse = Independence, Drive, Forward motion.

Put them together and you get a year that's fast moving, courageous, transformational, and a little intense.

It's a time that favors bold decisions, creative risks, leadership and stepping into your power. But it also asks for balance so you don't burn out.

In Chinese Medicine, fire relates to the heart - Joy, connection and emotional clarity. So this year isn't just about moving fast. It's about moving with purpose.

Are you ready to gallop forward or are you still holding the rings tight?

In Chinese medicine, February is a transition season. Your body is shifting from winter's deep rest into spring's movement before the weather fully changes.

The handoff can show up as fatigue, irritability, tension, or feeling off as your system recalibrates.

Acupuncture supports this seasonal shift by helping your body move energy smoothly, regulate the nervous system, and adapt without resistance.

Think of it as seasonal maintenance, not damage control.

Inflammation isn't the problem, it's the message.

In Chinese medicine, we look beyond the label and ask why the body is reacting. When things don't move, cool, or drain the way they should, inflammation is one way the body tries to get your attention.

Acupuncture helps address the underlying patterns so the body can regulate, resolve and return to balance rather than staying stuck in a cycle of flare-ups.

Healing isn't about fighting your body. It's about listening to it.

Microneedling works by creating tiny, controlled micro-injuries in the skin. That sounds intense, but it’s actually how your body kicks collagen and elastin production into gear. Over time this can mean smoother texture, softer fine lines, improved acne scars, and better absorption of your skincare.

Winter isn't the season to push harder.
It's the season to slow down, stay warm, and support your body before burnout sets in.

You don't need a full reset or drastic changes. Just small, steady choices that protect your energy, immunity and nervous system.

If something feels off (even subtly), that's your body asking for support. You don't have to wait until spring to feel better. đź’–

If you’ve been feeling extra tired lately, your body isn’t failing you. It’s actually doing exactly what it’s built to do in winter. This season is all about rest, recharge, and giving your system space to store energy. When you honor that rhythm, everything feels easier.
