Trauma-focused, Adlerian and EMDR Therapy. Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist in Marietta, Georgia.

Mental Health Therapist, Registered Play Therapist, and Registered Sand Therapist in Marietta, Georgia specializing in aggressive, anxious, and impulsive children, and stuck, overwhelmed, and mistreated women. I specialize in working with children and women, and I often use creative modalities in my work. I focus in the areas below.

*I help children and teens with aggression or anxiety gain calm, confidence, and connection. I help their parents to build their confidence in managing their child's disruptive behaviors, and improve communication and connection with their child.

*I also empower and guide women who are overwhelmed, stuck, or mistreated to find confidence, answers, peace, and build healthy relationships.

*I work with Christians who want a Christian therapist; many of my Christian clients find this important to them.

*I also train therapists in Sandtray Therapy. I am an Out of Network Provider. This means that I do not take insurance, but I do provide a Superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

This weekend I am Cocoa Beach, Florida getting trained in using sandtray therapy in EMDR therapy (and yes, after getting trained last month in using sandtray therapy in Adlerian therapy). I’m a strong believer in therapists getting deep, quality trainings in their modalities. We also need lots of self-care in order to hold space for our clients! I’m soaking up beach time between workshops. There is something calming, grounding, and healing for me about listening to the waves and being in the sand. I needed this. Take care of yourself in whatever way that brings you calm, grounding, and healing.

I am SO excited!

Training this Saturday, my office in Marietta, Georgia:

Diving Deeper into the Sand: Intermediate Sandtray Therapy with Children and Adults

This training is packed full of current research, methods, and techniques. With multiple learning objectives, this really could have been a two-day training. And it will also be fun, fun, fun! We will be creating and processing our own builds, and there will be door prizes as well. I still have one spot left! I can wait to pour into therapists on their journeys in using sandtray therapy with their clients!

It is such an honor to get to learn from Dr. Terry Kottman, the founder of Adlerian Play Therapy! She is a wealth of knowledge, a passionate and skilled trainer, and hilarious to boot. Also the founder of The League of Extraordinary Adlerian Play Therapists, LEAPT, she gives and gives to help us hone our skills and serve children and families. Yesterday she trained all day on conceptualization and treatment planning, and today she trained all day for supervisors and (like myself) up and coming supervisors. It was amazing as always!

Training all day today with Dr. Terry Kottman, founder of Adlerian Play Therapy, and Jeff Ashby, professor at Georgia State and longtime friend of Terry’s. My heart is always full after a Kottman training!
