Read the February 2, 2026, issue of BBN, now available online and around town. Brevard Health Alliance, a Federally Qualified Health Center serving over 60,000 patients inn Brevard in 2025 has established the BHA Foundation. Maegen Anderson will serve as president of the Foundation with a goal to raise awareness oh BHA and create funding for additional services for patients.
Florida Eye Associates now offers treatment for dry age-related macular degeneration which improves vision; Dr. Vrinda Hershberger, a national researcher has had great success conducting clinical trial leading to FDA drug approval for treatment of AMD. Florida Eye Associates is the only area practice offering this new non-invasive procedure to patients.
EFSC Foundation is set to host its10th annual ‘BBQ Cook–Off & Family Fest’ on Feb. 21 at its Melbourne campus. Victoria Jones and Dawn Niehoff of the EFSC Foundation are recruiting teams to compete and spearheading the family friendly event that raises funds for scholarships. Attendees at the event will enjoy BBQ, a car show and a live music performance by Hot Pink all for $15.00!

🐾💜 Last Friday we recognized Ms. Maldonado as our Panther of the Week! Ms. Maldonado is the epitome of a team player who is focused on student success. She connects with her students and makes learning fun. She seeks to continue to improve her craft to better serve her students. Ms. Maldonado also volunteers her time after school to assist with our 101 Dalmatians production. We are grateful for the energy, passion, and dedication she brings to our team! 💜🐾
