A traumatic brain injury (TBI) happens when the brain experiences a sudden jolt, blow, or impact that disrupts normal function. TBIs range from mild concussions to severe injuries, but no matter the level, they can affect the way a person thinks, feels, and functions in daily life. Symptoms may include headaches, dizziness, memory problems, difficulty concentrating, mood changes, sleep disturbances, and even changes in personality.

Why does it matter? Because the brain is the control center of the body, every movement, thought, and emotion depends on its health. Even a mild TBI can lead to long-term challenges if left unrecognized or untreated. Early awareness and specialized care can make a big difference in recovery and quality of life.
