Photos like this that show county wins are like computer code express in on/off 1’s and 0’s. Most of the results that can be looked up show voting numbers of various percentages of loss or gain for candidates being voted for. This simple off/on approach is not indicative of reality, based on those numbers. Does anyone know of a graduated scaling factor for this data that incorporates a range of colors to effectively portray a sophisticated visual understanding. I would present in theory that this information sought could be further extrapolated to show the USA as a whole has moved from near solid red pre 50s to a mostly a shade of blue present day politics. Comments?
