Common things I hear after a client receives lymphatic massage 👆 👆

There’s really no predicting who will feel great, who may feel tired or feel nauseated.

Some patterns I have found:
1) The clients who felt nauseated or tired the first one or two sessions tend to feel less nauseated and tired the more sessions they receive.
2) Those who have energy after their first session continue to have energy after each subsequent session.
3) Those with more notable swelling will likely have increased urine production.

The creators of this screening tool are simply genius 🤓

They did a survey with their own patients and their results were published in the International Pelvic Pain Society (2017).

91% of their patients with confirmed pelvic floor dysfunction were correctly identified by using this screening tool! Pretty good, I would say 😉

A lot of people assume that they must have an issue to come in for pelvic health therapy. That simply is not the case and could be further from the truth! 🤯

I dream of a world where EVERY single woman receives a pelvic health evaluation after the birth of her baby. Doesn’t matter if it’s a C-section or a vaginal delivery. 🤰

A baseline pelvic health assessment would provide something for a woman and her therapist to look back on, in the event that she started to experience symptoms of pelvic health dysfunction. OR… she just comes in once a year to make sure that there aren’t any significant changes but if there are, she can get on top of them right then and there before they become more drastic and dramatic. That’s PREVENTION!!

I am so stinkin proud of the mamas that are already doing this. Doesn’t matter if you are 3 months postpartum or 30 years. Better than NEVER! Ready to take action? Let me know!

Leaking when you push the kids on the swing can be a sign that you are not managing pressure very well 💦

This not only has implications for urinary incontinence but also for pelvic organ prolapse and diastasis recti 🧐

I find a lot of the time that women are not contracting their abdominal wall enough to stop the pressure from moving down towards the pelvic floor. One way to help with improving contraction is to get the trunk rotating ↩️↪️
