Get to know Bia Diagnostics Laboratories.

Laboratory Scientist Kurtis Wisniewski is a graduate of Saint Michael's College and brings a wide range of analytical laboratory experience to the team. Having previously worked as an LC/MS Analyst supporting regulated laboratory testing environments, Kurtis has developed deep expertise in LC-MS/MS and HPLC analysis.

With strengths in method development support, instrument maintenance, data review, and quality documentation, Kurtis plays an important role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability our testing partners depend on.

We’re excited to welcome Kurtis to the Bia team!

As the Winter Olympics wrapped up this weekend, we were reminded that teamwork, precision, and dedication drive great performances — both on the world stage and in the lab.

At Bia Diagnostics, we take our work seriously, but we also make time to celebrate the team behind the science.
Thanks to Emily Forauer’s creativity and leadership, our Lab Olympics brought out everyone’s competitive spirit and camaraderie. From the Sample Prep Relay and Tip Biathlon to Speed Pipetting and Chair Sprints, the energy was high and the teamwork even higher.

Events like these highlight the skill, focus, and collaboration that power our lab every day and reinforce a culture where people support one another and take pride in delivering fast, reliable results.

Because great science starts with a great team — and we’re proud to recognize the people who make it all possible.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of visiting the Vermont Food Venture Center and seeing firsthand the incredible work being done to support local food producers. The shared-use kitchens and other facilities housed at The Center for an Agricultural Economy play a critical role in helping food entrepreneurs across our state grow and succeed.

At Bia Diagnostics Laboratories, we’re proud to be a Vermont-based, ISO 17025–accredited lab and a resource for local producers through fast, reliable, and cost-effective food safety testing. Whether it’s microbiological, food allergen, or other analytical testing services, we’re always happy to support the amazing food community here in Vermont.

We had a great time at this week’s Vermont Craft Brewers Conference hosted by the Vermont Brewers Association . Our TTB Certified Beer Chemist, Amy Todd, joined industry partners from Zero Gravity, Lawson’s Finest Liquids, and Switchback Brewing Company to present a hands-on Quality Workshop focused on strengthening packaging QA and elevating quality practices across the brewing community.

As a third-party laboratory, Bia Diagnostics proudly offers comprehensive fermented beverage testing to support brewers in producing consistently high-quality products.

A huge thank you to the VBA team for bringing everyone together—and to all the brewers who joined the conversation. We're proud to support Vermont’s craft beer industry through science, collaboration, and community.

At Bia Diagnostics, we’re proud to support organizations that make a difference right here in Vermont. This week, members of our team took part in Steps for Social Change: Fun Run and Field Day — raising awareness and funds to help Steps to End Domestic Violence support survivors and their families.
We also had the opportunity to attend Spectrum’s Empty Bowl Dinner, an inspiring event that helps provide essential services to youth and families across our community.
We’re grateful to have a team that’s not only passionate about product safety, but also about giving back to the place we call home. 💚
