The book (and card system) helps make invisible labor visible and provides a shared structure for clarifying responsibilities and expectations. In therapy, we use it alongside deeper work around communication, power dynamics, and emotional patterns, making these conversations more accessible and sustainable for all types of partnerships.

Mindfulness Monday: Snowfall Edition ❄️

Nature bathing doesn’t require sunshine or long hikes. Snow has its own medicine, silence, simplicity, and permission to slow down.Pause. Notice the falling snow. Feel your breath. Let your nervous system settle. Even a few mindful minutes outdoors can lower stress, calm anxiety, and help you reconnect with the present moment. When you’ve made too many choices, your brain gets tired, and suddenly even small decisions feel overwhelming.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, irritable, or avoidant lately, it may not be anxiety or lack of motivation… it may be mental overload.

Here are a few gentle ways to support decision fatigue ⬇️

✨ Make fewer decisions on purpose
(same breakfast, same work outfit)

✨ Stick to routines for everyday things
(morning flow, bedtime order)

✨ Save big decisions for when you’re rested
(not late at night or after a long day)

✨ Write choices down
(pros/cons, notes app, paper)

✨ Regulate your body first
(breathe, stretch, eat)

✨ Choose what aligns with your values
(“What supports me right now?”)

✨ Practice self-compassion
(“I’m tired, not failing”)

You don’t need the perfect decision, just a good-enough one.

You don’t have to love every moment of pregnancy to be a good parent.
You don’t have to feel “glowy” or “radiant.”
You don’t have to be blissfully excited every day.

Pregnancy can bring anxiety, body discomfort, medical fears, and emotional exhaustion.
None of this makes you ungrateful,
it makes you human.

🥳🎉Happy New Year! 🥳🎉

As we step into a new year, I want to acknowledge all the work you’ve done over the past year, both seen and unseen. Growth isn’t always loud or linear; it often looks like quiet awareness, showing up on hard days, practicing something imperfectly, or simply staying curious about yourself. All of that matters.

The transition to a new year can bring a mix of relief, grief, pride, uncertainty, or hope, sometimes all at once. Whatever you’re feeling is welcome. There’s no “right” way to start a year.

As we move forward, I invite you to focus on reflection, compassion, and gentle intention. Growth doesn’t need pressure, it begins with awareness, creativity, and care. Take time to listen to your body, honor your needs, and allow yourself room to grow at your own pace.

Here’s to small steps and big growth in 2026. 💛

The Emotional Load of Pregnancy

Perinatal mental health isn’t just about hormones, it’s about identity shifts, physical changes, fear, joy, loss, hope, and a thousand unknowns.

It is normal to feel excited one moment and overwhelmed the next.
It is normal to grieve your old life even as you’re grateful for the new one.

If you’re finding that the emotional load feels heavier than you expected, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to carry it alone. 💛

This season often asks us to speed up, more plans, more emotions, more expectations, while our nervous systems quietly ask to slow down.

Imagine snow falling softly amidst the flurry, each flake unique, each moment passing gently. Like snow, your thoughts and to-dos can drift by without needing to stick.

Notice where you’re rushing. Pause. Breathe. Even a few seconds of stillness is enough.
