Yesterday, our team had the honor of returning to our founder’s alma mater, Bishop Brossart High School, to speak at their Career Fair.

We were welcomed with open arms and had the opportunity to share our passion for pharmacy, healthcare, and the impact this field can have on the community. It was inspiring to meet students who are beginning to explore their future career paths and to give them a glimpse into the world of pharmacy.

A big thank you to Bishop Brossart for inviting us—it was a full-circle moment to come back and invest in the next generation of leaders.

It’s a sad day for our community.
Hearing that Newport Drug Center is closing after serving Northern Kentucky for so many years truly breaks our hearts. Independent pharmacies like theirs — and ours — exist to take care of people, not to chase profits.

Unfortunately, more and more small pharmacies are being pushed out by the pressure from giant PBMs (pharmacy benefit managers), making it harder for local businesses to survive.

At Lifeline Pharmacy, we feel this loss deeply. We stand with Newport Drug Center and everything they represented: real care, personal service, and a commitment to their patients.

We’re more committed than ever to carrying that same torch for our community. If you or someone you know is affected by this closure, we’re here to help in any way we can.

Small pharmacies matter. Patients matter. You matter.

Newport Drug Center will close permanently on May 5, with its owner citing Pharmacy Benefit Managers and insurance companies as key reasons for the independent pharmacy’s closure.

Lifeline Pharmacy was honored to sponsor the Pi Kappa Alpha Golf Outing this past weekend — with proceeds benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.

It was a beautiful day on the course, and even better knowing we were helping raise awareness and funds for such an important mission.
