C-section Mamas, I see you, I am you!
I see the strength behind your scar.
I see the grief behind your smile.
I see the warrior who showed up for her baby—even when nothing went the way you dreamed it would.
I’m Karina. I’m a doula and a 3-time C-section mom. 💛
My first two C-sections were emergencies.
👉 During my first, I was so out of it from the meds and trauma that I didn’t even believe the baby they handed me was mine. I felt numb. Disconnected. Like something had been done to me, not for me.
👉 During my second, my baby’s arm was broken during extraction—due to complete negligence. You don’t forget the sound of your newborn crying in pain when all you wanted was to hold them close.
My third C-section was different.
I had a calm birth team. A plan. Doula support.
I felt heard. In control.
But even then… I was still told by providers that my body had failed me.
Over the years, I heard things like:
“Your babies are just too big.”
“Your pelvis is too small.”
But guess what? They were wrong.
My babies weren’t too big. My pelvis wasn’t too small.
I found that out later—but the damage those words did stuck with me for years.
These experiences have shaped everything about who I am as a doula.
🔥 They made me passionate about standing beside C-section mamas—before, during, and especially after birth.
Because I know how easy it is to feel unseen after a surgical birth.
I know how hard it is to recover from major surgery while caring for a newborn.
I know how challenging breastfeeding can be after a C-section.
And I know you deserve better support.
That’s why I do what I do. 💪
I’ve trained to support you in the OR.
I specialize in postpartum care—because I’ve lived it.
Because no one should have to go through it alone.
C-section moms—you are not less.
You are not weak.
You are brave. You are powerful.
And you are NOT alone.
I believe in your body, I believe in your birth, I believe your story and I am here for every bit of it.
If you need someone to talk to, process with, or just sit with you in your story—I’m here. Always.
