This is what inclusion looks like 💙

A sensory-friendly church service is launching locally in Coldwater—creating a safe, supportive space for individuals with autism, ADHD, and sensory needs.

Lower noise. More flexibility. More understanding.

We love seeing our community show up for our sensory friends. 🧩

We are excited to begin this next month!

🥗Intentional meal planning is one of our favorite life skill activities.

Through cooking groups, clients practice:
• Budgeting and comparison shopping
• Safe food handling
• Portion awareness
• Teamwork and communication
• Responsibility for shared spaces

The March menu reflects what our clients selected and planned together.

Because independence includes learning how to plan, prepare, and enjoy a meal together.

Our March menu was designed by the people who will be cooking it.

Each week our clients:
✔ Brainstorm meal ideas
✔ Evaluate ingredients
✔ Practice making healthy choices
✔ Follow multi-step directions
✔ Clean and reset the kitchen

Every step is broken down so everyone can participate at their level, from reading the recipe to stirring the pot.

Real food. Real skills. Real independence.

Community service for a program that gives so much to our community.

We need your help! As an annual tradition, we will be cleaning up our fairgrounds on Saturday, April 25th. Many hands make light work 💪 bring your rakes, gloves and enthusiam to help clear the winter blues off the fair and get it ready for our spring and summer events.

Can't wait to see how nice we can make the grounds look!

We currently have openings for Adult Community Living Supports (CLS).

We serve individuals with:
• Developmental Disabilities
• Mental Illness
• Dual Diagnoses

We individualize programming based on ability level, from full support to highly independent individuals preparing for paid supports or employment.

If providers for adults with primary mental health needs have been limited in the past, we want you to know we are open to them.

Skill building is skill building, and we meet each person at their level.

Case managers and guardians are welcome to schedule a tour.

Lunch at IFS is more than just a meal.

It starts with a group discussion:
What do we want to make?
What do we need to buy?
What fits within our budget?

Clients help build the shopping list, review ingredients, and work together to prepare the meals step-by-step. These everyday routines help build independence, confidence, and teamwork.

This week’s lunch selection holds special meaning. Our clients chose a favorite meal in memory of a client we recently lost, honoring their birthday that was this past weekend. It was important to the group to celebrate them in a way that felt familiar and meaningful.

Moments like this remind us that our program is more than skill building, it’s also a community. 💙

Community Living Supports is more than “just coming to a program.”

It looks like:
• Learning how to cook a full meal
• Practicing budgeting with real numbers
• Building coping skills for hard moments
• Improving hygiene routines
• Working on conversation and social skills
• Going into the community with purpose

For our younger clients, Children’s CLS focuses on:
• Daily living skills
• Emotional regulation
• Social interaction
• Routine building
• Independence at home and in the community

We meet individuals where they are and build from there step by step.

Now accepting:
• Medicaid
• Aetna
• Self-pay

Our lunch menu is ready!

What many people don’t see is the work that happens before the food ever hits the table.

Our clients help:
• Choose the meals
• Check what ingredients we already have
• Build the shopping list
• Practice budgeting
• Prepare and cook the food

Meal planning at IFS is intentional. It teaches organization, decision-making, teamwork, and independence all through real-life practice.
