Congratulations to the Insight Coldwater Cancer & Infusion Center team for their exceptional teamwork and strong clinical awareness.

After receiving a call from another healthcare facility about a patient needing a medication that required specialized administration and handling, the Infusion Center confirmed they were properly equipped and instructed the patient to come in for treatment. Upon arrival, the team — including Barbara, Kelly B., Kelly V., and Lori — completed an assessment and quickly recognized the situation was more severe than initially described. The patient was immediately directed to the Emergency Department, where physicians determined she was experiencing a life-threatening emergency requiring urgent surgery. Thanks to the swift actions of the Infusion Center staff and care team, the patient was later discharged home and is expected to make a full recovery.

This holiday season, our teams supported those in need through our food drive benefiting the Insight Patient and Employee Assistance Pantry.

Departments donated non-perishable food items that help provide pantry bags for families, along with access to community resources.

Thanks to the compassion and care of our teams, more than 1,100 items were donated, making a meaningful difference in our community.

With more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Ast provides comprehensive care for conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, Sjögren’s disease, gout, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and scleroderma.
