We recently had the privilege to donate oral hygiene products towards a mission trip to one of our own patients, Matt Niekamp. The mission served two villages of Guatemala, Pachimulin and San Jose Poaquil, where a team of 30 people split up into two groups to take part in giving a helping hand by building two houses for separate families. As a generous donation we gave out toothbrushes to help contribute to the indigenous community. We are so grateful to have been part of this amazing project! Thank you Matt for reaching out to us!

Tis the Season!!!

With the winter weather officially here, we want to remind everyone to be safe out there.

We also want to give a shoutout to all of our local snowplow crews helping us get where we need to be. Thank you!!!

Coldwater Dental knows the importance of your appointments, so we will do everything we can to see you regardless of the weather conditions. We are open as usual today, until 8:00 PM.

We are feeling very blessed to have all of these wonderful employees with us to celebrate another year at Coldwater Dental. We enjoyed a delightful meal, and their company last night at the Speakeasy Steak and Ale House in Celina. We appreciate the hard work and attention
of the staff last night, who delivered a fabulous meal and experience. And to our incredible staff, who collectively has 280+ years of experience at Coldwater Dental, we appreciate you! Happy Holidays from Dr. Homan and Dr. Wenning

The COVID-19 Pandemic has taken its toll on all of us in one way or another. It has also started showing effects in the oral health of individuals, ranging from increased grinding/clenching to higher rates of cavities. New research has some numbers to back up these findings since the start of the pandemic:

-59% increase in teeth grinding and clenching
-53% increase in chipped and cracked teeth
-53% increase in TMJ symptoms (including headaches and jaw pain)
-30% increase in gum disease, which can lead to potential tooth loss as well as increased risk of heart attack and stroke
-26% increase in tooth decay and cavities
