Watson Monument Company has been creating impressive and impactful monuments in the Brazos Valley and surrounding areas for nearly a decade. With an emphasis on storytelling and leaving a legacy written in stone, we have had the honor of serving families, local organizations, universities, the State of Texas, and many other individuals with our work. Tony Watson, AICA, Memorial Artist and Owner, began his monument career as the lead designer for one of the largest producers of custom cemetery stones and vases in the United States. Seeing a need for someone who would slow down, design with intention, and guide families through decisions. In 2006, after much prayer and discussion with his wife, Tony decided to take steps to move towards the retail end of the industry. In 2012, Tony returned to Texas A&M University to finish his degree while running the business full-time and graduated class of 2017. Tony is an avid fan of all things Aggie Football and Baseball and enjoys spending time with his family at the games. As an Aggie owned and operated company, Watson Monuments has been trusted with some of the most visible and meaningful projects on the Texas A&M campus. Among these are Spirit Plaza, Forever Reveille at Kyle Field, and various pieces in Aggie Park. For Watson, these installations are not just professional projects, they carry personal significance. We have also been given the privilege to take part in several veterans’, collegiate, and other civic monuments locally and across Texas. Our goal is always to represent the university, organizations, and families with exceptional craftsmanship and create a legacy to be proud of. Tony has learned from the best and is distinguished among his peers in the monument industry. He values education and regularly teaches design and stone carving nationwide. The Watson team regularly attends continued education conventions and workshops to ensure excellence in experience and quality. Tony serves on the Board of Directors and as past president of the Southern Monument Builders Association. He is a member of the American Institute for Commemorative Art, a prestigious organization that values design and quality. Watson’s team has earned more than 40 design awards since 2013 through these associations. While families do not choose a memorial company based on accolades, these awards reflect the care, precision, and dedication poured into each project. Watson Monument believes that each family has a unique and important story to tell. We are dedicated to creating memorials that reflect individuals and their memory. Our purpose is to walk with each family through the memorial process, discussing the many possibilities, advising on cemetery restrictions, and ensuring the monument truly reflects the person being honored. Whether the work involves a tried-and-true design, unique complex details, or a significant large-scale project, the standard remains the same. Watson Monuments strives to provide high quality monuments with honesty, compassion, and craftsmanship that lasts. Check out our work here and at www.watsonmonumentco.com
