We are so excited to be welcoming Nancy as our newest teacher in the studio! She will be substitute teaching today and more classes over the next few months. I asked Nancy what is a message or intention that she hopes students take away from her classes and her answer highlights one of my most favorite things about yoga: "I firmly believe yoga will make aging easier and allow us to remain active with hobbies, family, volunteering, etc." Yes!

My yoga journey began over 20 years ago. When I retired I found the time to complete my CYT-200 hour training. My training objective was to improve my own practice, but as my love for yoga grew, so did my desire to share the benefits I discovered. I went on to complete a SilverSneakers “Chair Yoga” Certification. This has enabled my past eleven years of teaching to share the benefits of the yoga experience with all individual skill levels.
I like poses that incorporate strength, balance, and core work into a yoga class. My classes focus on proper alignment, breath, and a flow that allows students to grow and challenge themselves. But, I also encourage students to develop self awareness, to nurture your body, to progress at your own pace, and definitely, to have fun!
My hopes are that you will leave your mat/chair feeling empowered, refreshed, nourished and balanced - ready to meet your day.
