Four times a year, yogis gather to move through 108 Sun Salutations—a moving meditation that marks the changing of the seasons. The Spring Equinox is one of those moments. A day when light and dark are balanced, and nature quietly turns toward growth.

In yoga tradition, 108 is considered a special number. It shows up again and again—in the beads of a mala, in ancient texts, and in symbolic connections between the body, the earth, and the universe. Completing 108 Sun Salutations isn’t about perfection or speed. It’s about rhythm, breath, and intentional dedication.

Each round becomes a small reset. A breath. A bow. A return. By the time you finish, something shifts. Your body feels strong and alive, your mind quiet, and your heart a little more open.

Practicing 108 Sun Salutations at the Spring Equinox is a way to honor transition—to release the heaviness of winter and welcome the energy of a new season. It’s both a physical challenge and a symbolic ritual: letting go of what no longer serves and stepping forward with intention.

You don’t have to be perfect. You don't have to do them all the same. You just have to keep showing up—one sun salutation at a time.

Join us for this special Spring Equinox practice and move with the rhythm of the season. It is included in monthly and annual memberships at no additional cost, and $25 for all other members. This includes a special crystal, a journal, and - most importantly - a Spring Equinox 108 sticker that you can only get by completing the practice.

Happy last🤞 snowstorm of this winter! We are adjusting our schedule on Monday - currently the plan is no Slow Flow, but if the weather cooperates and the roads are decent, we will have Weighted Blanket Restorative.

But this time should give us lots of time to finish up our last weeknight for Winter Wellness Bingo! VERY VERY IMPORTANT: You must turn in your cards by Friday night! I need to be able to get the entires ready for the Saturday morning drawing. If you are not going to be back in to the studio, text me a picture of your card. :)

ALSO this means that as crazy as it sounds, the Spring Equinox is here this week and that means our special 108 sun salutation practice is happening Friday at 6pm. This is included in all monthly and annual memberships, and is $25 for all of our other members. This includes this special practice, a spring equinox crystal, little journal, and - most importantly - a Spring Equinox 108 sticker to remind you of the badass you truly are. Sign up on the website, Bsport app, or message me.

Okay back to the last weekend winter agenda: reading, soup, cozy blankets, and home yoga in front of the warm stove. :)

I'm not dogmatic about most things, but I am 100% hardcore about believing that savasana is such an important part of a yoga practice. This teacher lays out beautifully why it's so important.

You don’t have to be good at yoga. You just have to be willing to try a few things and breathe while you do them.

This is a place to practice—not perform.
We move, we wobble, we breathe, we try again.
In Star, we usually laugh a lot too.
That’s the whole thing.

If you’ve ever thought:“I should meditate….” And then you just don’t…Good news. We’ll do it together.

The body knows something about perspective. When we open the chest and lift the gaze, things can feel just a little lighter. Use your yoga practice to shift your drishti (your gaze) up - steady, spacious, and grounded—with room to breathe and remember that a new perspective is always possible.

One breath at a time

Kind Tribe Yoga is a traveling tribe of yogis. We love vinyasa flow yoga, fun music, pop up yoga classes, manifesting happiness in our lives, and being kind to others and ourselves.

Yoga is the conscious creation of a place of peace in our mind. By moving our body, we are able to focus. We're not trying to "get out of our head" but moving towards a place where we can quiet and come home to our mind. By quieting the distraction we reconnect to our true selves, making space for what is truly important to us to come forward. This connection and openness allows for manifestation of our goals to happen even without us forcing actions.

Why Kind Tribe Yoga? Kindness should always be our action, our energy toward each other and toward ourselves. Kind people assume the best of people and their actions. We are optimistic about the future. We are excited for our futures, to root for each other and watch each other grow.
