As many people know I do therapeutic body work. Deep tissue, sports, repetitive motion work and my own style I’ve created over the last
twenty-six years I’ve worked on people. I really love what I do and in the Covid climate therapists have had to make some huge changes on how they work. This fall( without smoke) I’ve taken to working on clients outdoors and I truly love it because it seems natural to be outside. It seems so confining to be indoors this time of year anyway after a long summer and Smoky last month.
Here’s to learning how to adapt to whatever environment we’re in. ❤️

I wanted to let all my clients know how much I miss you and hope you are doing alright and staying healthy. It’s been four weeks since I’ve worked on anyone and I’m missing the human connection I have with all of you. If you can, be sure to get outside to feel the sun on your face and to breathe in fresh air daily. Also, eat lots of fruits and veggies to keep your immune system strong.
Know that I care for you deeply and you are all in my thoughts. I look forward to seeing you all when I can. ❤️❤️

It’s been a hard decision to make, but I’ve decided to take a couple weeks off from my job as a massage therapist. For me, touching people, helping them and having connection requires a hands on approach and with some of my clients being elderly, I feel it’s not right to go about business as usual. I could be a carrier( if I continue working on clients) and I couldn’t live with myself if I gave the virus to one or more. Yes, it will put a strain on my finances, but I feel it’s important to take the responsible route for now.
I have friends in northern Italy and Switzerland that have told me what’s happening first hand in their towns and villages with total lockdown and being forbidden to leave town. It’s serious business trying to contain this virus.

Stay safe everyone and maybe take some time off if you can and get back to spending time with loved ones and remembering what’s important.

Sports Massage by Marnie is expanding its Corporate Massage program for 2018 and is looking for Certified Massage Therapists who are licensed and insured to be a part of the team to do fully clothed table massage throughout the Sacramento and Placer counties in businesses. Instead of using a chair for massage, we specialize in table massage, which is more effective and proven to more comfortable for the person getting massage.

Looking back on 2017 I am thankful that I get to do something I love for a living. To all my clients, who have become friends over the years, I want to thank you for making my job not just a job, but a passion in helping the people I work on, you. I began my journey working on people back in 1994 and took a long 10 year break in 2004 to work on another goal I had. Fast forward to 2014 I came back with just a couple clients and have grown an amazing client base in those 3 years.
I look forward to the years to come and growing with new ideas and platforms with Sports Massage by Marnie.
