First Choice Healthcare is a group of health clinics providing exceptional care to patients, often at a fraction of the cost.

Our clinics in Kewanee, Colona & Toulon offer Family Practitioner led clinic services to all local residents. First Choice Healthcare services are provided by the Henry-Stark County Health Department in order to further the organization’s mission: to protect and improve the health of the community. With Clinic locations in Kewanee and Colona, First Choice Healthcare is here to serve you! We accept most insurances, and offer access to low-cost healthcare to those without health insurance or those who have a high insurance deductible. You do not have to be a resident of Henry or Stark County to access many services. This institution is an equal opportunity provider. Our Kewanee clinic is available for “Walk-In” appointments Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:30pm. Our Colona clinic is open for appointments only Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.

TOULON PHARMACY OPEN! The Stark County Health Department & the First Choice Healthcare Clinic in Toulon remind residents the Toulon Telepharmacy is NOW OPEN FOR BUSINESS. This means that Stark County residents can now fully take advantage of this multi-service healthcare clinic. The Clinic and Telepharmacy are located at 120 E. Court St., Toulon. The Telepharmacy business hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The pharmacy will close daily from 12:30-1:00pm for lunch. Share with family and friends!

November has been designated as National Diabetes Awareness Month & November 2-8 is Diabetes Education Week. Nearly 26 million children and adults have diabetes and an additional 79 million are at-risk for developing Type 2 Diabetes.

Therefore, we remind area residents that our First Choice Healthcare Family Nurse Practitioners can help with the management of Non-Insulin Dependent Diabetes. And for diagnosed diabetics, our clinics announce we will offer the Hemoglobin A1C Blood Test (for Diagnosed Diabetics with a Doctor's Order) at a special “cash only” price of $30 for the month of November.

The Henry & Stark County Health Department, First Choice Healthcare, and our WIC & Maternal & Child Services Division want to thank the First United Methodist Church of Kewanee and its members for their recent “Pack The Crib” Donation Drive for local families served by the Health Department & our First Choice Healthcare clinics.

WIC Customer Service Representative, Lisa Pitzer (pictured) states, “We are truly astounded at the size of this donation for our local families." The Church’s ‘Pack the Crib’ Drive included donations of diapers, baby wipes, towels, baby wash and bath supplies, blankets, baby clothes, pacifiers, infant medical kits, bibs, breastfeeding supplies and aids. What a blessing. Please join with our staff in thanking the First United Methodist Church of Kewanee and its members for their wonderful and generous donation.
