Valentine vibes today! 💖 Our residents spent the morning making cheerful heart dot paintings — Q-tips, bright paints, and lots of laughter. This simple craft worked on fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and gave everyone a chance to socialize and be proud of something beautiful they created. Huge thanks to Ginny from AT HOME Hospice activity team for bringing us this colorful project that brought smiles and a burst of confidence.

Today, Colonial Heights Rehab was filled with cheers, smiles, and Olympic spirit as we hosted our very own Opening Ceremony! Residents proudly waved American flags and enjoyed music, laughter, and togetherness.

We brought the warmth of summer to our residents with a WINTER LUAU! Tropical Decorations, Aloha BBQ sliders, pineapple/jalapeño dip, and tropical sorbet in coconut cups made for a perfect diversion from the ice and snow. There was even a spirited, fun limbo contest to top off the event.

💐 Happy Activity Professionals Week! 💐
Today, we had the absolute joy of celebrating someone who truly is the heartbeat of our building — Mary Lou Earhart, our incredible Director of Activities.

In the morning meeting, staff showed up dressed in bright, colorful dresses inspired by Mary Lou’s signature style and showered her with Bingo Buck store goodies. Meanwhile, hilarious photoshopped photos of Mary Lou were being placed all throughout the building. This made for a great reaction!!!!

Mary Lou gives 100% every single day. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, creativity, and unwavering dedication set the standard for what an Activities Department should be. She leads with heart, passion, and genuine care for both residents and staff — and has done so for nearly 47 years.
Thank you, Mary Lou, for all you do, all you give, and all the lives you touch. We are beyond lucky to learn from you, laugh with you, and celebrate you — not just this week, but always. 💛✨

Friends and family gathered to celebrate a truly remarkable woman who has lived a century full of memories, strength, wisdom, and love. Willie Stevens has touched so many lives with her kindness and grace, and reaching 100 years young is a milestone worth celebrating in a BIG way! 💖
