Happy Lunar New Year to you all! 🐉 May the year of the Wood Dragon for growth and prosperity, along with abundant blessings and happy reunions in the coming year!

Today (2/10/24), the lunar calendar marks the Year of the Dragon, where the earthly branch Chen represents the dragon in the Chinese zodiac. This year is also referred to as the Year of the Wood Dragon because the heavenly stem is associated with wood. In Chinese culture, the dragon is highly esteemed, symbolizing dignity, authority, and happiness. As a result, 2024, the Year of the Dragon, is not only considered fortunate but also a period filled with both opportunities and challenges.

AOCM 🌿🪡✨How do you rebalance your “Qi” after wisdom teeth are removed?

The concept of "Qi" is central to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and is considered the vital energy that flows through the body. Some general suggestions for post-surgical recovery in the TCM framework include acupuncture to restore Qi flow, herbal remedies for pain management and healing, and dietary adjustments to support the body's healing process and rebalance Qi.

AOCM ✨ Acupuncture helps alleviate insomnia by stimulating specific points in the body to balance energy flow, regulating physiological processes. It has a positive impact on sleep by promoting the release of endorphins, which aid relaxation and sleep, and by potentially regulating neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, which influence mood and sleep patterns. Acupuncture also enhances the production of melatonin, a hormone that regulates the sleep-wake cycle, contributing to improved sleep quality.

Embark on your fertility journey with our dedicated support. Dr. Hui (Grace) Gao, AOCM fertility expert, has curated specialized acupuncture treatment plans to enhance your reproductive health.

Trying to conceive differently or facing a specific condition? We're here to help! Contact us to hear more.

1. Consultation: Set up an appointment at www.AcupunctureOfChineseMedicine.com for a free consultation with Dr. Gao, she can provide individualized advice based on your specific situation.

2. Pre-IVF preparation: Acupuncture sessions before starting IVF can help optimize your reproductive health. Dr. Gao may recommend treatments to regulate your menstrual cycle, improve egg quality, and balance hormones.

3. During IVF medication cycle: Acupuncture can be integrated during the medication phase of IVF. It is typically done alongside the stimulation injections to support the body and minimize potential side effects. These sessions can help reduce stress, increase relaxation, and promote overall well-being.

4. On the day of embryo transfer: Acupuncture before and after the embryo transfer is a common practice. It can help improve blood flow to the uterus, relax the cervix, and create a more favorable environment for embryo implantation. This is usually performed within the same clinic where the IVF procedure takes place.

5. Ongoing support: Acupuncture sessions may continue throughout the IVF cycle to support hormone balance, manage stress, and address any specific concerns that arise. Dr. Gao may recommend weekly treatments to maintain overall well-being during the process.

6. Post-IVF support: After the embryo transfer, acupuncture can still be helpful. It can assist with promoting relaxation, reducing anxiety, and supporting the implantation process. Dr. Gao may suggest continuing treatments until you receive the pregnancy test results.

7. Communication with your healthcare team: Be sure to inform your fertility doctor about your acupuncture sessions. It's important to maintain open communication and coordination between Dr. Gao and your medical team to ensure everyone is on the same page regarding your treatment plan.
