From Mountain Roots to Peak Performance I come from three consecutive generations of holistic healers, and I found massage therapy as my calling. Holistic healing has been a major influence in my life. My sister is a licensed massage therapist, my mother is a licensed massage therapist, my father is a retired chiropractor, my aunt is a licensed massage therapist, two of my uncles are chiropractors, my grandfather retired from a forty-five plus year career as a chiropractor, and my great grandmother was a massage therapist. With this lineage of knowledge and skills passed down from generation to generation, as well as my professional training, I am able to effectively help my clients on their personal journey to wellness. Alongside my generational knowledge, I graduated as a top-performing student from The Colorado Springs School of Massage after completing an intensive 600-hour course. I learned traditional Swedish massage, and the core fundamentals of trigger-point therapy, deep tissue massage, myofacial release, manual lymphatic drainage, sports massage, chair massage, reflexology, and prenatal massage. I plan to continue my education and gain further certifications to expand my toolkit and assist my clients even more efficiently. My goal for every session is to help my clients achieve an elevated level of wellness. I believe it is essential to listen to each client and develop a plan together to reach their desired wellness goal. I enjoy being in nature, from camping and hiking to fishing and stargazing. I am a Colorado native and have lived in Colorado Springs for the majority of my life. I have been with my wonderful wife, Tiffany, since 2017. Tiffany can be found reading about the law or planning our next adventure. We welcomed our furry friend, Jelly Bean, in 2020. She can usually be found looking for love (or food). I believe life is too short to not enjoy it, and I strive to live it to the fullest.

Therapeutic Recovery at Mountain Roots Massage

Let’s be real: My Therapeutic Recovery sessions are the “Heavy Hitters” of the clinic. They are designed for the person who has been struggling with an injury for months and is ready to do the hard work to fix it.

What to expect:
✅ Advanced Techniques: We go beyond the surface to hit the structural roots of your pain.
✅ High Intensity: This is deep, clinical, and focused work.
✅ Long-Term Results: We aren’t chasing temporary relief; we’re chasing a permanent fix.

⚠️ THE WARNING: If you don’t like deep or intense bodywork, do not book this session. I have other options for relaxation, but this is for the “human machine” that needs a serious recalibration.

Ready to get back to 100%? Link in bio to book—if you’re ready for the work. 🌲

Understanding Central Nervous System Fatigue

Heavy lifting taxes your brain and nerves as much as your muscles. This is why you feel “fried” after a PR. Recovery is mental as much as physical.

Your brain gets tired too. 🧠 CNS Fatigue is real

Why I just turned down a supplement sponsorship. 🛑

A hydration company recently reached out asking me to promote their new “electrolyte mix.” I did what I always do: I read the label.

What I found is exactly why you need to stop blindly trusting supplement marketing. Here is the actual breakdown of their ingredient list:

❌ The #1 Ingredient: Erythritol (plus 3 other sweeteners). This doesn’t hydrate you; it just makes it taste like candy.
❌ Potassium Citrate: Typically used in medicine to prevent kidney stones, not optimally raise your daily potassium levels.
❌ Magnesium Sulfate: Has a heavy laxative effect. (Not exactly what you want during a workout or a game 💩).
❌ “Natural Flavors”: A legal loophole used to hide Maltodextrin—a high-glycemic carb that will instantly spike your blood sugar and break your fast.

I refuse to push subpar products just to make a quick buck. You have to vet your supplements.

📥 Not sure if your daily supplement is actually good for you? DM me a picture of the ingredient label and I’ll vet it for you!

Burn calories while eating. 🔥 Whole Foods First.

Your body burns more calories digesting whole foods (Thermic Effect of Food) than it does digesting processed shakes or snacks. The source matters.

Recovery starts before you even hit the table. 🏔️✨

“The atmosphere is calm and inviting, with soft lighting, soothing music, and a clean, beautifully maintained space that immediately helped me relax. After the session, I am feeling refreshed, lighter, and noticeably less stressed.”

At Mountain Roots Massage, the environment is just as intentional as the bodywork. If you’re looking for a quality, individually tailored session in a space designed for a total reset—you’ve found it.

You’re paying for the massage... but are you actually “there” for it? 🧠🚫

A massage is a financial investment in your recovery. But if your brain is wandering to your to-do list, your boss, or your stress, you are literally blocking your nervous system from relaxing.

The people who get the best results from Mountain Roots Massage are the ones who stay in the room. They focus on the sensation, the breath, and the body.

Don’t let your stress rob you of your recovery. If you’re going to spend the money, make sure you’re present enough to collect the benefits. 🏔️

Why Deep Breathing Improves Massage Results

Deep breathing during deep tissue work tells your brain the "pain" is safe. This allows the muscle to actually release instead of guarding.

Breathe into the work. 🌬️ Tell your brain it's safe.
