Jen has worked in the field of ABA since 2018 and is celebrating her one-year anniversary with Atlas this month! She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota and a Master’s degree in Special Education with an emphasis in ABA from Arizona State University. Jen loves helping children express themselves, build confidence, and grow in their independence while letting their unique personalities shine. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, collecting trinkets, and spending time with her cat, Mildred. We feel incredibly lucky to have such a thoughtful and dedicated BCBA on our team; she brings a calm, supportive presence that both her patients and our staff appreciate. 🧡

Sensory-Friendly Haircuts at Atlas ✂️

For some of our kids, haircuts have always been hard. New sensations, new sounds, unfamiliar tools.

But in a space where they feel safe, with people they trust, they were able to take that step, some of them for the very first time.

There is nothing small about that kind of bravery. Watching their confidence grow was everything. 💛

At Atlas, we practice assent-based ABA.

Assent means we pay attention to a child’s communication, spoken and unspoken, and we respect it. If a child isn’t ready, we slow down. If they say no, we listen. If their body tells us they need a break, we honor that.

The Atlas Way is rooted in trust, safety, and connection. We don’t force compliance, we build relationships. When a child feels happy, relaxed, and engaged, meaningful learning follows.

This approach supports regulation, autonomy, and long-term growth, not just skill acquisition, but confidence and dignity in everyday life. 🧡

🎄✨ Tinsel has made her way around Atlas!

Our favorite little visitor has been busy sneaking around the clinic, popping up in all sorts of silly and surprising places. From the moment the kids walked in and started searching for her, the excitement was contagious 💫

Watching our learners light up as they found Tinsel each day was such a sweet reminder of how much joy, curiosity, and magic live in the little moments. So much laughter, pointing, and “I found her!” energy filled the clinic 🥰

Halloween at Atlas is always a blast! 🎃🧡
Our kiddos practiced real-life trick-or-treating; knocking on doors, choosing candy, and reading signs at the “homes.” Watching them build confidence, practice communication, and have FUN is what it’s all about.

Huge shoutout to our team for showing up in costume and creating such a magical, supportive experience for our kids. We hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! 👻
