October 16: World Restart A Heart Day
Join the Red Cross and our global partners on October 16, 2023, for the sixth annual World Restart a Heart (WRAH) Day. Launched by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), this global campaign aims to increase public awareness on cardiac arrest including the importance of learning CPR and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). We hope that you can lend your voice to ours and the international community by using the hashtag on social media.

The bill requires the instruction of CPR and the use of an AED to be included in health education programs in grades 9 through 12.

The National Registry of EMT's today announced that more than 500,000 EMS clinicians are currently nationally certified at the EMR, EMT, AEMT or Paramedic level.

“The National Registry is proud to hit the milestone of having a half million Nationally Certified EMS clinicians, said Bill Seifarth, CEO and Executive Director of the National Registry.
“Despite this important milestone, the National Registry remains committed to working closely with national and state partners to collectively address the workforce challenges facing many EMS agencies across the nation."
