It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of M. Bernice Adami, affectionately known as "Bee" on April 10, 2026, at the age of 91. Bee left this world peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Born on December 12, 1934, in the town of Buffalo, Wyoming, Bee was the daughter of J. George and Bernice M. (Hyer) Weber. As the youngest sibling in a family of 5 sisters, she was predeceased by: Margaret Brewer, Mildred Anne Anderson, Georgene Johnson, and Joanne Weinmeister.

Bee's life was a testimony to love, faith, and dedication. On September 2, 1956, she married her soul mate, Lee Adami, and together they embarked on a journey that spanned 48 beautiful years until Lee’s passing in 2003. Their union was a testament to love and devotion, as they raised three children: Tim Adami, Jane (Brad) Coleman, and Randy (Deanna) Adami—and served the Lord together with unwavering faith.

Bee graduated from Johnson County High School in Buffalo, WY, in 1953 and later from Barnes Business School in Denver, CO, in 1955. Her career as a secretary was marked by several relocations to support Lee’s career, ultimately settling in Gillette, WY. There, she served as the Nutritional Secretary at Campbell County Memorial Hospital for the final 11 years of her professional journey.

A woman of deep faith, Bee was a devoted member of the North Word Church in Monument, CO and thoroughly enjoyed welcoming the congregation by handing out name tags each Sunday. Her Christian upbringing instilled in her a lifelong dedication to the church community. She actively participated in women’s groups, Bible studies, and had a special fondness for nurturing the spiritual growth of children. Bee was also a proud member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Gideons, where she served tirelessly, spreading the word of God and offering prayers to those in need. She would often make her rounds to visit friends and church members that might be in the hospital or care facility and also drive them to Dr. appointments.

Bee's personal life was filled with warmth and kindness, woven together by her sweet personality and her willingness to lend a helping hand. She carried a joyful spirit that endeared her to all. Her grandchildren—Adam Coleman, Kayla Coleman, Michelle (Zack) Roseboro, Samantha Adami, and James Adami—were a constant source of pride and joy; and she held a special place in her heart for her precious great-granddaughters, Lennon and Noah Roseboro, as well as Romy (arriving in June).

In her senior years, Bee delighted in participating in church groups, Bible studies, and cheering passionately for her favorite baseball team, the Colorado Rockies. She also found joy in puzzles and reading, pursuits that brought her solace and serenity.

A celebration of Bee's life will be held on April 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 17750 Knollwood Dr, Monument, CO 80132. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: www.gideon.org/sendtheword in memory of Bee and to provide bibles to be distributed in her name.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the numerous friends, church congregation, neighbors, and the dedicated nurses and staff at Penrose Main, as well as Pikes Peak Hospice for their compassionate care.

As we remember Bee, let us hold dear the words of Psalms 23 “The Lord is my Shepherd, I lack nothing…” and aspire to "Be like Bee"—a true testament of love, kindness, and unwavering faith.

Rest in peace Bee. Your legacy of love and faith will forever inspire all who knew and loved you.

Michael deRivera
1977-2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our most beloved, Michael deRivera, who left this world far too soon on April 7, 2026 at the age of 48 in Colorado Springs, CO.

Michael wasn’t just family, he was a force of nature. A true badass in every sense of the word, he lived life on his own terms, with courage, humor, love and a heart bigger than most people could ever hope to have. He had a way of showing up for people–no matter the time, no matter the situation–and if you were lucky enough to know him, you knew you always had someone in your corner.

He was fiercely loyal and deeply loved. Whether it was through his laughter, his stories, or the way he made people feel seen and valued, Michael left a mark that won’t fade. He had a gift for turning ordinary moments into unforgettable ones and a way of bringing people together like no one else could.

We are so incredibly proud of him–not just for the man he became, but for everything he overcame to get there. He faced more than his share of obstacles and tragedy, and still chose to live boldly, love deeply, and keep going.

He was one of the hardest workers you could ever meet, with an unmatched work ethic that showed up in everything he did throughout his life. He was a top professional in his field– an Indian Master Performance Tech. He took immense pride in his work at Pikes Peak Indian Motorcycle, where he worked at 130% and was recognized as reason for their service department being top 10% in the Nation for Efficiency. His coworkers became more like family. Just a week before his passing, he told his mother, “Mom, I love that place”--a reflection of how proud he was of the life he built.

Above all, Michael adored his children. He carried the love of his son, Ethan, with him always, and now they are reunited. His daughter, Auna was his princess and the light of his life–he was endlessly proud of her. Being their father was his greatest joy. Auna shared, “My dad was the best daddy ever and I couldn’t ask for a more caring and loving father. He was a very kind, generous, and patient man, no matter how cranky I was that day or how irritated I was with work. He would always put a smile on my face and know how to make me laugh. He was always interested in hearing about everyone’s day before talking about his own. He showed me what truly loving someone looks like. And I will forever be grateful for all he has taught me and provided for me. He cherished everyone who walked into his life, whether that be strangers, family or friends. I love my dad so much, I’ll never forget the warmth of his hugs, the smell of his clothes, the way his laugh sounded, and how he would tell me how much he loves me and can’t wait for our next trip together. I’ll think about my dad every day and know that he’ll be by my side, guiding me through life. I love you dad and I’ll miss you forever.”

He loved his family and friends with everything he had. He was especially close with his mother and sisters and shared a special bond with his cousins, Pam and Abbie. He was a father, a brother, a son, a cousin, a nephew, a friend, a partner, a protector, and a bright light in so many lives. The kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back–and probably crack a joke while doing it. He reminded us that we are more than our circumstances–that we get to choose our lives and live them on our own terms. He was a safe space to everyone who knew him–no questions asked, no judgement given. You could come to him exactly as you were, and he would meet you with loyalty, understanding, and love.

Michael was unapologetically, authentically himself–always–and he encouraged others to do the same. He was love. He was trusted, respected, and admired by so many. He showed up, stood strong, and made people feel like they mattered. He loved us just as deeply as we loved him.

He had found his true love, Christina, and experienced a deep and genuine happiness with her and her daughters, Madison and Emma. Seeing him living his best life–happy, loved, and at peace–is something we will always hold onto.

In his final act of generosity, Michael gave the gift of life through organ donation–continuing to help others even after he was gone.

His life was cut far too short, but we are grateful for the time we had and for the man he became.

He was preceded in death by his cherished son, Ethan for whom his love was endless. He leaves behind his treasured daughter Auna who meant all the world to him; his devoted mother, Dorothy, his loving sister Kati and her family, Eric, Autumn and Briana, his twin sister Alissa (a bond forged in love before they were born) and her family Jason, Chelsea (Emma and Bella), Zoie and JT, his loving partner Christina and her daughters, Madison and Emma, along with countless friends, aunts, uncles, cousins and loved ones who will carry his memory forward.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit–bold, kind, and unapologetically real–will live on in all of us.

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, May 8th at 2pm. It will be held at Griffin Funeral Companies, 2377 North Academy Blvd. Colorado Springs, CO 80809,
where we will gather to honor him the way he would have wanted; with stories, laughter and love. Rest easy Michael, you’ve earned it. You were one of a kind and you’ll never be forgotten.

Don Malcolm Simoneaux, 71, passed away in 2026, leaving behind a life defined by dedication, loyalty, and a deep love for both his Louisiana roots and his adopted home of Colorado. Born in Plaquemine, Louisiana in April 1954 to Joseph Simoneaux and Mercedes (Michel) Simoneaux, Don grew up with a strong work ethic and a passion for sports that stayed with him throughout his life.
As a boy, Don played baseball with enthusiasm and talent, earning several trophies and forming memories he carried with pride. He worked alongside his father on a dredge, learning early the value of perseverance and responsibility. Determined to build his future on his own terms, Don paid his way through college by working a semester at a time, ultimately earning his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 1978 — an achievement that reflected both his discipline and his belief in education.
Don began his career with the Florida Department of Corrections, serving one year as an Officer and another as a Probation Officer. His commitment to public service eventually brought him back to Colorado, where he continued his work with the Colorado Department of Corrections. Don took great pride in his role and found genuine fulfillment in the camaraderie of his colleagues. He valued the friendships he built at DOC and approached his work with steadiness, integrity, and a strong sense of purpose.
A devoted sports fan, Don loved football and basketball, cheering passionately for the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints. Even after making Colorado his home, he carried his Louisiana spirit with him, celebrating every victory and weathering every loss with unwavering loyalty. Colorado, however, captured his heart. He loved the mountains, the climate, and the peaceful rhythm of life the state offered. It became the place where he felt most at home.
Animals were drawn to Don’s gentle nature. He is survived by his beloved cat, rescued from a Walmart parking lot, who remained faithfully by his side. All of Don’s previous dogs and pets adored him, sensing the kindness and quiet warmth he carried.
Don is survived by his wife, Linda Kay (Coleman) Simoneaux; his daughter, Tracy Jane Rogers; three grandchildren; two great‑grandchildren; and his siblings: brothers Clifford Simoneaux and Todd Simoneaux, and sisters Tammy Vollenweider, Diane Daigle, and Suzanne Simoneaux.
A celebration of Don’s life will be held later in the spring, when family can gather to honor his memory and the steady, loving presence he brought into their lives.
He will be remembered for his devotion to family, his pride in his work, his love of the mountains, and the gentle spirit that made him so deeply cherished.
