Blackheads are not dirt. They are oxidized oil and dead skin trapped inside the pore. This is how you can treat them effectively 🤓🤓🤓

🛢️Oil cleanser
Dissolves oil based buildup like sunscreen, makeup, sebum, and pollution better than water based cleansers. This helps prevent plugs from forming in the first place.

🅰️ Retinol
Increases healthy cell turnover so dead skin does not accumulate inside the pore. This keeps follicles flowing normally and prevents recurring blackheads.

🐍 Professional chemical peel
Deeply exfoliates compacted dead skin and congestion that at home products cannot fully reach. Helps reset pore function and reduce blackhead formation long term.

🎭 Clay mask
Absorbs excess oil and pulls surface debris from the pore, improving congestion and refining texture when used weekly.

🧪 Salicylic acid
This is an oil soluble exfoliant that seeks out oil ! It penetrates into the pore to dissolve trapped oil and dead cells at the source of the blackhead.

🫧 Double cleanse at night
First cleanse breaks down oil and sunscreen. Second cleanse removes sweat and debris so pores are not left congested overnight.

🪡 Professional extractions

🚨 FALSE 🚨

Pores open and close
🚪 Pores cannot open or close, but buildup inside them or weakened collagen around them can make them look larger. Congestion stretches the opening and collagen loss makes the pore wall weaker which can make them look bigger.

Makeup with SPF is enough
💄 Makeup never gives full SPF protection because no one applies the amount needed to reach the labeled SPF. So unfortunately, no, it is not a substitute for a dedicated sunscreen. Tinted SPF is great substitute for makeup tho !

PIE is pigmentation
🔴 PIE is not pigment. It is vascular inflammation that leaves red or pink marks after breakouts, completely different from melanin based discoloration.

Microneedling over acne spreads it
🦠 Microneedling does not spread acne because the bacteria involved naturally lives on the skin and acne does NOT occur from bacteria alone being on the skin. Acne is multifactorial and driven by inflammation, sebum quality, keratinization, and internal triggers.

Dermaplaning makes hair grow back thicker
🔪 Dermaplaning only removes vellus hair at the surface and cannot change thickness, color, or growth rate. The follicle determines that, dermaplaning does not affect the follicle.

Retinol thins the skin
🤏 Retinol strengthens the skin over time by stimulating collagen and improving dermal density. Long term use thickens and supports the skin rather than thinning it.
