Summer should not require a recovery plan.

Cold temps can make muscles feel tighter, and ice can turn a normal day into a “why does my back hurt?” moment. Here are a few simple ways to protect your body this season:

✅ Warm up first (3–5 minutes of movement before shoveling, lifting, or workouts)
✅ Choose traction footwear and take shorter steps on slick surfaces
✅ Shovel with strategy: hips back, lift with your legs, keep the shovel close, switch sides
✅ Break it up: smaller loads + quick pauses prevent strains
✅ Stay hydrated (yes, even in winter)
