FORGIVE YOUR BODY (AND YOURSELF)

Let’s start the year with forgiveness.

Forgive yourself for the days you didn’t move.
Forgive yourself for what you ate.
Forgive yourself for ignoring pain, stiffness, or exhaustion. Your body has been carrying you the whole time. It doesn’t need shame—it needs support. Healing starts when we stop criticizing and start listening.

Be kind to yourself this week. Book care, not guilt.

The holidays are over. Now it’s time to recover.

December asks a lot from the body—late nights, heavy food, stress, travel, less movement, and very little rest. January isn’t about punishment or extremes. It’s about recovery. Recovery means gently bringing the body back into rhythm. Resetting digestion. Calming the nervous system. Realigning the spine. Giving your joints space to move again. If you haven’t made a vision board yet, start with three words: nutrition, movement, wellness care. These are the foundation everything else is built on.

Let January be about caring for your body again. Start with an adjustment or wellness consult.

We wish everyone a happy holiday. We finished strong. This year we did 10 months of sack lunches and we had over 100 volunteers to help us. We donated 120 hours of our time. Time looks like getting the supplies, materials, making of the sack lunches, and delivering them to the nonprofits. We had over $300 in monetary donations and countless materials donated to us. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the kindness extended to us for our community. If the river don’t rise and the Lord saith the same we will be back next year. Before Obama became a senator he was a community worker. He did acts in his community. As a community trustee it goes a long way. We impact the people who partner with us and they impact us. That is what community is. Sometimes we want to build more. Build more trust. It comes in time and it comes with consistency. All the time I wanted to stop. Sack lunches are the one thing that is tattooed on my heart. Small and mighty goes far. It took one guy and a sling shot to knock a giant down. It took one lady to say yes and she bore a savior, it took seven days to walk around a wall to watch it fall. It took three guys to stand in a fire to change the heart of an evil king. It took 12 guys to build a relationship that would change the world forever. We don’t need a lot of people, we just need committed ones.

“Small herbs, big benefits!” Sounds like a minestrone soup to me—perfectly warming for a cool night. It's light on calories but packed with goodness! Here's a simple minestrone soup recipe to try out: - Tomatoes - Onions - Garlic - Green beans - Carrots - Corn (use a bag of frozen vegetables) - A dash of salt - Basil - Parsley - Oregano - Thyme - Pepper - Bay leaf - Noodles Just sauté the onions, garlic, and your choice of veggies, then add tomatoes and seasonings. Let it simmer, toss in some cooked noodles, and enjoy a delicious, nourishing bowl! 🍲✨
